Departing from the summit of southwest Colorado's Wolf Creek Pass to follow the spine of the Continental Divide for 100 miles to Silverton, Colorado. Eight days of incredible scenic beauty.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1: We will pick you up from your motel or give you directions to our ranch. From there we pack up and travel to our trail head. It usually takes about five hours to ride into camp. This is taking our time to enjoy the ride and see the country. (L) (D) Day 2: Your choice. Options are to relax in camp, go for a hike, take a short or long horseback ride, fish the stream or ride to a lake and fish. We have a lot of options, however, no T-shirt shops, video arcades, phones, faxes, email. (B) (L) (D) Day 3: Your choice again. We can take one evening and go looking for a herd of elk. In the past we have gotten some great photo's and video. Particularly in late August when the bulls begin to rut and become very vocal. (B) (L) (D) Day 4: Another nasty decision to make. Sleep in, or ride up on to the Continental Divide, or fish, or relax. (B) (L) (D) Day 5: "Can we stay another month or more, Pleeease, (sniff)" Standard comment when we have to pack up and head back to reality. We generally get back to the ranch around 5:00 pm and bid everyone goodbye. (B) (L) Notes: Shorter and longer pack trips are also available.
