Experience life in a indigenous village, available for most of the 14 indigenous peoples of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Take a lake and river cruises by sampan and country boat. Help conserve the local ecology and learn first-hand about this most peace-loving and open people. Support local tribal handicrafts and take home unique jewellry, handwoven cloth, flutes and more. Stay with the headman and his family or at one of our traditional eco cottages. Take a short hike through the hills and visit a local village school run by the tribals. This is truly an experience to treasure.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Pickup from Chittagong airport, drive to Rangamati. Check in to an island eco resort. Sightseeing, Shopping, Leisure. Includes:(B), (L), (D).

Day 2: Tour of Rangamati, 'Chakma' village, Handicrafts center, Buddhist Complex, Tribal Museum. Kaptai Lake cruise by Sampan or speedboat, Swimming, Chakma King's residence, Buddhist Shrines, Shopping. Includes:(B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Drive to Bandarban, sightseeing. Tour of the marketplace, Buddhist Shrines, a 'Bawm' village, Tribal Complex, Bohmong King's residence, Sangu river cruise by country boat, Swimming, Sports with tribals, or just relax. Includes:(B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Tour of Chimbuk, Meghla and a tribal village. Drive to Lama and on to Ali Kadam, short walk to Mru village. Includes:(B), (L), (D).

Day 5: Spend a whole day among the Mrus and experience their unique lifestyle first-hand. In the evening take a short walk to a neighboring village and listen to Mru youths sing and play their unique bamboo and gourd flutes. Includes:(B), (L), (D).

Day 6: Take an easy hike through the hills along a stream bed to visit two more villages, an indigenous school, jhum agriculture, home handicrafts and more. Return to Ali Kadam, visit the bazaar, shop, explore, night in the Rest House. Includes:(B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Tour of Lama, Buddhist Vihar, and a Marma village.In the evening return to Chittagong for evening flight to Dhaka. Includes:(B), (L), (D).
