For hundreds of years now, pilgrims, walkers and travellers have taken this route to Compostella to see the tomb of St James. The walks will average about 17 kilometres per day, crossing the picturesque Gers and Tarn et Garonne regions and finishing in the Béarn. This tour will be suitable for experienced walkers. We will follow the Le Puy trail, said to be the most beautiful. The grade of the walk is moderate. All your luggage, other than your day pack, will be carried for you by bus. The trail includes unsealed roads, forest and country roads and if you don’t feel like walking you have the choice of a rest day. During the 9 days we will change hotel four times. For better enjoyment of the tour we do recommend that you train for this walking tour, including some long distance with moderate inclines. Plenty of rest time will be allocated during the day to better enjoy the walks. The full distance of the tour is 102 kilometres over 6 walking days.

The afternoon will be free to explore the village, followed by welcome drinks and dinner at the hotel.

Free morning to explore Condom, its church and museums and to organise your own lunch. In the afternoon we will take you to visit the Chateau de Cassaigne, constructed in the 13th century, in the heart of the Armagnac region. Here you can taste their succulent prunes in Armagnac, as well as the local wines and liqueurs. We will stop in Larresingle, France’s smallest fortified village. Dinner in a country restaurant.
