For hundreds of years now, pilgrims, walkers and travellers have taken this route to Compostella to see the tomb of St James. The walks will average about 17 kilometres per day, crossing the picturesque Gers and Tarn et Garonne regions and finishing in the Béarn. This tour will be suitable for experienced walkers. We will follow the Le Puy trail, said to be the most beautiful. The grade of the walk is moderate. All your luggage, other than your day pack, will be carried for you by bus. The trail includes unsealed roads, forest and country roads and if you don’t feel like walking you have the choice of a rest day. During the 9 days we will change hotel four times. For better enjoyment of the tour we do recommend that you train for this walking tour, including some long distance with moderate inclines. Plenty of rest time will be allocated during the day to better enjoy the walks. The full distance of the tour is 102 kilometres over 6 walking days.
