We start out with a short stay in lovely and familiar Antigua, (where we have some new weaving cooperative experiences for our return folks), then we’ll pass through Chichicastenango, on our way to Santa Maria Nebaj. The mountain views are breathtakingly beautiful! We’ll base out of the Villa Nebaj, and spend time exploring the triangle villages of Chajul and San Juan Cotzal for a personal look at rural weaving coops and communities, helping indigenous weavers support their families with back strap weaving.
Of course, we can’t skip Lake Atitlan. It is incredibly beautiful and the Posada Santiago has become home away from home for many of us! There are always more lakeside villages to explore and new projects to learn about. It is not necessary to have been on any of our other weaving tours to join us now. We welcome all appreciators of fine fabrics with an adventuresome spirit for this fabulous cultural get away. Join us for a heartfelt, life-changing experience!
