Your Itinerary Day 1: You will be picked up from a location or hotel within Colombo at 6.00 am the latest. This will be a private tour exclusively for you, by car or Micro depending on the number of pax travelling with you. This tour could be arranged on any day but should be pre-booked at least 7 working days prior to arrival with full payment upfront. This tour takes you to visit the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela. This is an orphanage for baby elephants set up by the National Zoological Gardens. The orphanage was established to feed, nurse & house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. Often the young ones fall into pits & ravines in their quest for water during periods of drought. Other inmates at the orphanage are those displaced from their natural environment by development projects or those found diseased or wounded. The feeding & bath times are a treat to watch. After lunch, you will visit a spice garden, the temple of tooth & you will do a city tour of Kandy which includes the main market area, gem museum, the Kandy lake. Proceed to Colombo by 4 pm the latest. You will be dropped at a hotel in Colombo specified by you by about 8 pm. (L) Notes: Tour Includes:
