Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Depart from Cape Town at 09h00 and follow the winding roads of Sir Lowry's Pass. Our first stop is the Oude Molen Brandy. Distillery nestled against the Nuweberg Mountains in the lush Elgin valley. Enjoy a distillery tour featuring the largest brandy stills in South Africa and the history behind the South African brandy industry. Taste the golden perfection of Oude Molen 100 Reserve and VOV brandies followed by a light lunch for your own account at 'The Farm Stall' coffee shop and deli.
The Farm Stall is stocked with delectable delights ranging from homemade pies, biscuits and cakes; freshly baked bread, local wines and baskets filled with fruit and vegetables fresh from the farms in the Elgin Valley. Relax in the coffee shop and enjoy an excellent meal in the peace and quiet of this tranquil mountain setting.
Check into a luxury guesthouse in the seaside town of Hermanus, renowned for its world-class whale watching. Snuggled against the sea cliffs of the Indian Ocean, Walker Bay and surrounds offer visitors tranquility and proximity to nature. During whale season, get close to these mammoth mammals on a spectacular whale-watching boat trip. To cap a fun-filled day, enjoy a magnificent lobster barbeque in beautiful surrounds.
Day 2: Test your mettle during a unique underwater experience. Go Shark Cage Diving and meet 'The Great White' in its natural surroundings. (Cost R1250 per person). For the less adventurous, we offer a unique tour of Hermanus and a visit to the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. This beautiful, secluded paradise is set between mountain and sea in the heart of the Cape fynbos region and encompasses 10 hectares of cultivated fynbos and 190 hectares of pristine natural fynbos. A spectacular and breathtaking route along Clarens Drive and False Bay sees us wind our way back to Cape Town. Approximate arrival at 17h30.
