We are putting together an All Wales all-inclusive Spring Tour (food, alcohol, transport and accommodation included in price). We will be taking you to all the sites that includes haunting castles, massive mountains and spectacular coastlines. You will experience the compelling culture of the Welsh people and countryside - a once in a lifetime experience.
As accommodation we have reserved a farmhouse cottage in deepest Welsh speaking West Wales for your stay. For those of you who want a break from bunk beds in backpacker hostels, this cottage ticks all the boxes. There's even a hot tub in the fields for you to soothe your aches and pains!
Due to popular demand, our company is offering two May tours. The first tour will run on May 5th for 3 days and the second on May 25th for 4 days.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1, May 5th/25th: Pick-up 7.30 from London, bound for the happy hills of Wales. First stop is Big Pit Coal Mine, donning our helmets and going underground into a real coal mine.
Then its Brecon Beacon National Park where we will ascend Pen-y-Fan and marvel and the views from the summit. It’s then Aberfan memorial and Castell Carreg Cennen. It's then to the luxury cottage and home for the next three nights.
Day 2: May 26th only: An early start this morning as we head for big-castle and big-mountain country of North Wales. First stop will be the haunting Harlech Castle before we head onto bleak Bleanau Ffestiniog, home of world slate, before the ascent of Snowdon, the highest peak south of Scotland. Then its the castled town of Caernarfon before heading home to the luxury of the cottage.
Day 3, May 6th/27th: Following a hearty breakfast we will head for Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We will visit a 6th century hermit church, a stone age burial ground, then the best beach in Britain and according to the Rough Guide 'one of the best beaches in Europe' at Barafundle, and just wander along the spectacularly stunning coastline. Then back to a traditional Welsh speaking pub.
Day 4, May 7th/28th: First stop is Gower, the UK's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Here we will marvel at the sheer raggedness, where tall coastal cliffs are interspersed with huge sandy bays and learn about the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table who are rumored to be hiding here.
Then its onto Cardiff for the afternoon where will visit the fully restored Castle and the modern chic Cardiff Bay for a drink and ice-cream before heading back to the big smoke of London, aiming to arrive by 8pm.
