This tour showcases a vibrant and exotic state featuring an interesting combination of tradition and royal glory. Beginning your trip at the gateway city of Delhi it takes you via the city of the Taj Mahal through the state of Rajasthan featuring the diversity of its people, their customs and traditions, etc. The trip also takes you through Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Udaipur and the Shekhawati Region of Rajasthan.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Delhi. A warm welcome on arrival at airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi. After a good rest and a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a city tour of old and new Delhi. The tour includes the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, drive past President's Palace, Humayun's Tomb and Lotus temple. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner with Indian cuisine and cocktails. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi - Agra. After a leisurely breakfast, leave for Agra and on arrival, check-in at hotel. Afternoon visit Agra fort, Itmad-ud-daulah and the majestic Taj Mahal. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Agra -Jaipur. Morning drive to Jaipur en route visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur-Sikri. On arrival check-in at hotel. Evening explore the pink city and participate in the special treasure hunt and rickshaw ride. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Jaipur. A busy day of sightseeing includes Amber Fort, the City Palace, the Palace of Winds & Jantar Mantar. Enjoy tongue teasing meals at a local restaurant and a very special event .....the turban tying.Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur - Mandawa. Morning drive to Mandawa and check in at Mandawa castle / desert resort. Afternoon offers us a chance to walk through the narrow lanes and witness the wall frescos from the 15th-16th centaury. Dinner and overnight stay at Mandawa. Day 07 Mandawa / Bikaner A morning drive brings us to Gajner Palace, built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner, where we spend the next two nights. Afternoon is free to explore the surroundings of the palace and view birds and animal life along the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Bikaner. Enjoy an excursion to Bikaner to see the imposing Junagarh Fort, the Royal Complex and the Camel breeding Farm. Return to the Gajner palace in the evening for a cocktail session with folk dance and music.
Day 9: Bikaner - Jaisalmer. A long but interesting drive through the Thar desert brings us to the golden city, Jaisalmer. Our two night stop here has been arranged at the Fort Rajwada, a comfortable modern hotel built in local style.
Day 10: Jaisalmer. Visit the Gadisar Lake with its gateway temple and carved havelis of local merchants. Evening enjoy a camel ride into dunes of the Thar Desert.
Day 11: Jaisalmer-Rohet. The village Rohet out next stop, where we are guests of the royal family. En route visit the grand Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhavan Palace and Jaswant Thada in Jodhpur. Located in the heart of a village, Rohet Garh offers a chance to get close to the locals of the region. This evening we host you a bar-be-que dinner by the pool. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Rohet / Mount Abu. Head south through scenic countryside towards Udaipur visiting the stunning Jain Temple at Ranakpur en route. Continue on to Mount Abu. Upon arrival check in at your hotel and overnight stay.
Day 13: Mount Abu - Udaipur. After breakfast drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival at Udaipur transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Udaipur. Morning sightseeing tour includes the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-Bari. Evening enjoy boat ride on Lake Pichola. Dinner and over night at the hotel.
Day 15: Udaipur- Delhi. Morning at leisure for relaxation or last minute shopping. Transfer to airport in the afternoon for flight back to Delhi arriving early evening. Assistance on arrival at Delhi and transfer to hotel for short stay/dinner (depending on flight schedule).Late transfer to airport for onward flight home.
