Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arusha - Ngorongoro. Lunch will be served at Impala Hotel, Arusha, at 12:30 hours. You thereafter depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area at 14:00 hours. You arrive in time for dinner at the lodge. The lodge sits on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater from where you get awesome views of the collapsed volcano. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Day 2: Ngorongoro. After breakfast you depart for crater tour. The drive commences with the 600 m descent to the crater floor, a magnificent natural amphitheatre. Covering 260 sq. km, the crater is an attraction in its own right and is one of the wonders of the natural world. The crater supports a year round resident population of a variety of wildlife. You will have no trouble spotting lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and many species of plain animals-wildebeest, zebra, reedbuck, Thompson gazelle and many more. You will have packed lunch in the course of the tour. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Day 3: Tarangire. After breakfast, you depart at 08:00 hours for Tarangire National Park to arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. At 15:00 hours go for an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is a park of giant baobab trees, rolling savannah and acacia parkland. It is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular in the dry season between June and September. It is during this period that thousands of animals-wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, and oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. The predators–lion, leopard and others-as is the custom in the savanna follow closely by. Birds are also abundant here and over 550 species have been recorded. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Day 4: Tarangire - Arusha. At 06:30 hours-you will go for an early morning game drive in the park. Temperatures are cool in the early morning period and it is a good time to spot animals. Return to the lodge for breakfast and thereafter check out and drive to Arusha to arrive for lunch at hotel at 12:00 hours. Notes: - Adult Rate: Per person sharing - Child Rate: Sharing with 2 adults single room - When arranging for your international air tickets, note that it is usually cheaper to disembark at Nairobi in Kenya. Then you take a shuttle bus to Arusha at a cost of $20 US. This shuttle bus leaves at 08:00 and 14:00 hours daily from either Nairobi or Arusha. The drive takes 5 hours.
