Starting at Mcleodganj (Dharamsala) at about 6000 ft in the Kangra valley and passing over the mighty snowbound Dhauladhar, the trail ends at Machhetar in the Ravi valley. The scenic Kangra valley is situated between the snow capped peaks of the Dhauladhar and the Shivalik Hills, while the Ravi valley is bounded to the North by the Pir Panjal, to the South by the Dhauladhar and to the East by the Bara Bangal range.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Delhi. Early morning arrival at Delhi. A warm welcome by our staff and transfer to hotel. Full day city tour of Old & New Delhi. Late evening transfer to railway station for overnight train to Pathankot.

Day 2: Arrive Pathankot Early morning arrival at Pathankot. Assistance on arrival and transfer to McLeodganj (Dharamsala). McLeodganj is best known as the headquarters of the Tibetan Government in Exile and home of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. The Tibetan settlement here is a delightful example of their agreeable nature. The community has taken over the hospitality business and provide cheap and clean hotels and small friendly restaurants.

All this makes McLeodganj is a colourful little town, a perennial den of tourists a place you can chill out in and do your own thing. While you stop to wonder at a Tibetan trinket or a shawl, you'll realize that your stomach is involuntarily responding to the lovely smell of wantons wafting from a nearby joint. McLeodganj is steeped in Buddhist culture you can find anything from Tibetan food, good luck charms and thangkas to Enlightenment. In fact, many disenchanted foreigners come here seeking solace, meditation or to champion the Tibetan cause. Arrive and check-in at a hotel . Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: McLeodganj. McLeodganj Tour in and around McLeodganj, the seat of the Tibetan Government in exile. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: McLeodganj - Triund. Trek from McLeodganj to Triund (9325 ft - 4 - 5 hrs). Triund is on the foothills of Dhauladhar range and is 17 kms. from Dharamshala. It is at a height of 2827m. The breathtaking views of the mountains and the valleys make Triund an ideal picnic and trekking spot. It is one of the most beautiful and must see spots around Dharamshala. Triund is a 9 km trek from McleodGanj passing through Dharamkot and Rakkar Villages via Gulu Devi, a small Temple and water point. The snowline starts from Ilaqa, 5 kms from Triund. Overnight stay at Triund.

Day 5: Triund - Laka. Got After a refreshing breakfast we start our trek from Triund to Laka (10,500ft). Overnight at Laka Got.

Day 6: Laka Got The day is free at leisure for independent activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Laka Got - Chatru Parao Trek to Chatru Parao (11000 ft) over the Indrahar Pass (15121 ft). Overnight at Chatru Parao.

Day 8: Chatru Parao - Kuarsi. Kuarsi Trek from Chatru Parao to Kuasi Village (7500 ft). Overnight at Kuasi Village.

Day 9: Kuarsi - Machhetar. Trek to Manchhetar (6500 ft). Overnight at Manchhetar.

Day 10: Machhetar - Brahmaur Trek. Trek to Brahmaur (6200 ft).Trek ends. Overnight at Brahmaur.

Day 11: Brahmaur - Khajjiar. Drive to Khajjiar (8200 ft). Khajjiar, located at an altitude of 1960 m, is often called the Switzerland of India, with its rolling meadows, majestic deodars, bubbly streams, and the sheer opulence of its natural beauty. The snow - line appears above its lush woods, and at the very centre of this divine glade, is a lake fed by countless streams that criss - cross the area. Dinner and overnight stay at Khajjiar.

Day 12: Khajjiar. Explore in and around Khajjiar. Visit to Chambal. Overnight at Khajjiar.

Day 13: Khajjiar - Pathankot. Drive to Pathankot (180 kms). Board the night train to Delhi. Overnight on board.

Day 14: Delhi - Depart. Assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Late evening transfer to international airport for flight back home.
