Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Augrabies, South Africa
With arrival in Upington you will pick up your car from Europcar/Imperial and drive to Augrabies. The Augrabies Falls Guest farm is nestled in lush, green vineyards overlooking the breathtaking vistas of Kakamas, just fifteen minutes away from the world famous Augrabies Falls In South Africa. The Augrabies Falls Guest House accommodation caters to your every need with exquisitely decorated en-suite bedrooms, some having their own private patios. Complete with air conditioning, satellite TV, hairdryers, complimentary chocolates, tea and coffee, your stay with them will be one you will carry with you in your memory, long after you leave.

Day 2 & 3: Fishriver, Namibia
After breakfast you will be on your way to the Fish River Canon. The Canon Lodge is situated only 20km from the main viewpoint of the Fish River Canyon, the lodge is situated on the 520 square kilometer, privately owned Gondwana Canyon Park. Canyon Lodge is built from natural materials, including local rock and thatch roofs. The lodge offers rooms with en-suite facilities, while the old farm house serves as the dining room. This tranquil lodge serves as an excellent base from which to explore the wonders of the Fish River Canyon in Namibia. All units are equipped with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms. The boulders cool to the touch and smoothly rounded by an eternity of erosion, protrude into the rooms to make them blend in with the natural surroundings. The design of the bungalows was conceived with the idea to make you feel one with nature whilst enjoying a comfortable stay.

Day 4 : Luderitz, Namibia
Today you will visit the ghost town at Luderitz. The Nest Hotel is the ideal place from which to explore the many attractions in and around Lüderitz. Day 5 & 6: Sossusvlei, Namibia
Today you will drive to the Sossusvlei area. Inspired by North African architecture, Le Mirage Desert Lodge and Spa is situated in the Namib Desert, 21 kilometres from Sesriem and the entrance gate to the Namib-Naukluft Park and Sossusvlei. In a setting that is a harmonious blend of luxury and nature, the accommodation in all 27 luxury en suite rooms makes for an instant impression. Each room offers a spectacular view of the Namib Desert, a feeling of privilege and humility. Each suite room has air conditioning, a safe, a mini bar, and a coffee and tea station. On you first morning you will be pick-up half an hour before sunrise to go on a ballooning safari.

Day 7 & 8: Swakopmund, Namibia
The route to Swakopmund is amazing with yellow-shaded sand dunes on one side and the blue Atlantic Ocean on the other. You will overnight at the Strand hotel. The Hotel is in easy walking distance of the city centre and restaurants and pubs. The Strand Hotel offers 23 sea- and 22 garden facing rooms. Each comfortable double room is elegantly furnished and has a bathroom en-suite, TV with a variety of channels, telephone, hairdryer and facilities to make coffee / tea. The Strand Hotel is the ideal base from which to explore the Namib Desert, the Cape Cross seal reserve and many other points of interest in the vicinity.

Day 9: Twyfelfontein, Namibia
Early morning you will be on your way to the Rockart haven of Namibia. Mowani Mountain Camp, which is taken from the Swahili word M'wane meaning "place of god", lies in an area of astounding beauty in the heart of Damaraland between the Ugab and Huab rivers. Discreetly built high up amongst massive red granite boulders, the lodge provides unsurpassed views over the vast unspoilt wilderness. Accommodation is in 12 luxury East Africa-style safari tents built on raised wooden platforms hidden away amongst the boulders.

Day 10 & 11: Etosha, Namibia
After an early breakfast you will visit the Petrified Forest and Rockart sites in the area. From there you will be on your way to Etosha. Etosha Mountain Lodge is situated on the southern border of the Etosha National Park. The lodge is situated amongst dolomite hills and offers a combination of luxury, wilderness & cuisine. The private reserve on which the Etosha Mountain Lodge is situated is well stocked with game and you can expect to encounter both black & white rhino as well as giraffe, eland, mountain zebra, kudu, oryx, cheetah, leopard, springbuck, blue wildebeest, black-faced impala, sable, hartebeest and other wildlife endemic to the area. With all there is to see in Etosha you will be happy to close your eyes and rest after the busy day.

Day 12 & 13: Etosha, Namibia
You will leave Etosha Mountain Camp early and take a slow drive through Etosha National Park. When exiting the park you will head to Onguma Tented camp. Onguma Tented Camp is a beguiling mixture of sophistication and relaxation, of elegance and the earth. It is the intriguing combination and attention to detail that makes Onguma Tented Camp the ultimate in safari chic. The surrounding nature lends itself to long lazy afternoons, spent relaxing on the sofas in the lounge, watching the animals go. And when things heat up, all that is required is a gentle stroll to the rim flow pool. In the local Herero language, Onguma means,” the place you don’t want to leave”. With the atmosphere, and the daily activities taking place around the water hole at Onguma Tented Camp you certainly wish you could stay longer.

Day 14: Otjiwarengo, Namibia
After an early breakfast you will be on your way to Aloe Grove Safari Lodge near Otjiwarongo. Otjiwarongo is neat, prosperous and green. The town has got modern facilities such as banks, shops and restaurants. A quick drive through this town will bring you to your next destination that, as in Otjiwarongo, boasts with modern facilities in the middle of the bush. The atmosphere at the lodge is as phenomenal as the sunrises and sunsets. You can expect international standards. The cuisine and service are of the highest quality At Aloegrove you will be spoilt by beauty and able to savour an unspoilt landscape from the vantage point of a luxury Bungalow.

Day 15: Windhoek, Namibia

Day 16: Keetmanshoop, Namibia
On your way back to Upington you will make a stopover at Keetmanshoop. Surrounded by an endless diversity of breathtaking beauty and never ending vistas, Keetmanshoop, the capital of the arid South, is host to the Central Lodge. The Central Lodge is, as the name suggests, ideally situated in 5th Street, right in the historical centre of Keetmanshoop. The lodge offers spacious and air conditioned en-suite rooms for the overnight tourist as well as the business traveller. Day 17: Depart

Depart from Central Lodge early morning. With Arrival in Upington you will drop off your car and check in for your flight to Johannesburg.
