November 24th thru December 1st – is your opportunity to experience "Movement, Rhythm, Texture - Dancing, Drumming, Painting". A week of African Dance, Hand Drumming and Intuitive Painting/Collage. Add to that a healthy dose of snorkeling, swimming, sea kayaking, hiking and touring and experiencing authentic Mexican culture, along with delicious meals and the charming tranquility of a rural Mexican seaside fishing village, while staying in beautiful accommodations with modern facilities, meeting interesting, delightful new friends and you begin to get a glimpse of Yogart, an all inclusive Art Workshop Vacation at Casa de los Artistas.
Join us for an exciting week of fun, exercise, creativity and play as renowned dancer and instructor Tracy Thomas, hand drummer Brian Thomas and artist Bob Masla lead you in a week of African style dance (loosen up your body with some great stretches and dance steps) an introduction to hand drumming (advanced instruction and rhythms for those with experience) and intuitive creative expression through painting and collage (no experience needed, but bring it if you have it). This will be a week of celebration, with fires and dances on the beach, along with our usual cultural excursions. Come and play in this fun and exhilarating workshop, using non-traditional and innovative approaches, experimentation, various dance stretches/exercises and "art games" as well as some new approaches to traditional drawing and painting techniques. In this playful, nurturing and supportive environment where exploration is encouraged and where there are no mistakes, we will experience a variety of different approaches and techniques designed to help us gain access to our calm center of meditative awareness as well as releasing the passion of creative expression.
This workshop is suitable for everyone, regardless of their dance, drumming or art experience. From those with no previous training, as well as the seasoned artists and professional looking to find a place of calm reflection and fresh inspiration to infuse their work with new energy and stimulation.
This workshop will generate in you a sense of serenity and help you to identify your clear voice of intuition and self-confidence. You will be so engaged in the creative process in this supportive atmosphere, that fears, apprehensions and “inner critiques” will be quieted and fall to the background. Our goal is for you to return home refreshed and recharged, with a deeper perspective and tools for living "Passionately" in your day-to-day life.

- Round trip ground transportation from P.V. airport and the Casa;

- 6 Days of art workshops - each day from 9am to noon in the studio and 3pm to 6 in the field or studio, as well as some evenings - Noon to 3pm is for siesta or other activities of your choosing - 36 hours of art workshop time;
