Plas Tan y Bwlch (Great House in the Pass), a hugely impressive Country House is set on a hillside overlooking a beautiful estuary, above the A470, 6 miles east of Porthmadog in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. It was originally built for the fabulously wealthy Oakley family and has 100 acres of formal gardens and woodland studded with ornamental trees and pathways. It has been recently refurbished with en suite rooms added and is home to the National Park Study Centre. They are now offering a 3 night all inclusive weekend for walkers who can enjoy a special location and a high level of service provided by professional and friendly staff.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Friday - Drive through the mountain passes of beautiful North Wales and arrive circa 4.30pm at Plas, register and unpack and enjoy the grounds. The bar opens at 6pm. At 6:30pm there is a 3 course meal in the dining room followed by an introductory talk with slides in the drawing room so that you are fully briefed by experts on the glorious walks to come and know something of the history and flora and fauna of the area.
Days 2-3: Saturday and Sunday - Two days of outstanding guided walking with minibus service. Full cooked breakfast at 8.15am. At 9.30am depart with a qualified guide either directly from Plas or in a Plas minibus for a full day of walking in and around the Snowdonia National Park to a programme agreed with yourselves and tailored precisely to your requirements-the Carneddau range, Gwynant valley, Cnicht, Beddgelert, Cader Idris, the Conwy Valley and much more are available to you. Packed lunches provided. Return at 5pm, Bar opens 6pm, dinner served at 6.30pm.
Day 4: Monday - A chance to make the most of your last day. 8.15am breakfast. 9.30am depart for local guided walk with a packed lunch. 2.30pm return to Plas for a cup of tea before leaving or depart directly from walk location if you have chosen to go further afield, perhaps to Harlech Castle Portmeirion or the Lleyn Peninsula.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
The price for this long weekend (including all meals, use of minibus, talk and guide each day) is £174 for a standard room and £199 for an en suite. Balance must be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Price Includes all meals and transport around Snowdonia as described above to reach the walks.
Price does not include transport to and from Plas Tan y Bwlch at the beginning and end of the holiday.
