This is an opportunity for your group to get away from it all to this remote valley where an old quarry village has been converted into a Welsh Language College. Your group will be able to stay in these cottages, to do some self-catering but also to have some meals together in the restaurant. You will also be able to enjoy some of the best hill walking in Wales and explore parts of the new Lleyn Coastal Path.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Friday - Arrive at Nant Gwrtheyrn any time after noon and take up your cottages. There is much to explore in this area. The old quarry village Nant Gwrtheyrn sits in its own beautiful valley on the North Wales coast in the Yr Eifl mountain range, near Llithfaen. So isolated that until recently it could only be reached by sea, it has been restored, has a new road and is now home to the Welsh Language Centre. Roomy cottages are well appointed, each with a lounge, well equipped kitchen, bathroom and two twin bedded rooms. Couples may have their own cottage if they wish. We can promise you something rather special in stunning scenery.com At 6 pm there is an optional talk in the heritage centre on the history of Nant Gwrtheyrn and a basic introduction to speaking Cymraeg, the Welsh language. 7 pm - 3 course evening meal provided on a buffet basis at the licensed bar/restaurant, Caffi Meinir overlooking the sea.
Day 2: Saturday – We will transport you in our minibus to Clynnog Fawr church, the traditional assembly point for pilgrims making the journey to Bardsey Island and in whose footsteps you will be walking. You can then set out on the first section of the walk over the high moors at Bwlch Mawr, which will lead you to Llanaelhaearn. At the Rivals Inn where you can buy lunch or eat your own sandwiches. The trail then leads on and upwards to the dramatic Iron Age fortress of Tre’r Ceiri, the best preserved Iron Age fort in the United Kingdom and the largest one built of stone. The path then takes you through the village of Llithfaen and back down to your cottages at Nant. Evening meal at 7 pm as before.
Day 3: Sunday – Set out from Nant along the coast and cliffs, and then through some National Trust land to the pilgrim church of Pistyll, and then on through woods and hills to Nefyn and the village on the sand Porth Dinllaen, which has a colony of seals off the end of the peninsula and an excellent pub-the Te; Coch Inn where you can buy lunch or eat your own sandwiches. Our minibus will then collect you and take you back to Nant to recover your transport.

The 2008 price for this weekend including self-catering accommodation for 2 nights and evening meals as described, a driver/guide, use of the minibus, maps and GPS equipment, would be £105 per head.
For the sake of economy we have not included breakfasts or packed lunches as these are very much an individual choice. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer to store your provisions so that you may easily prepare your own.
