Day 1:
Arrive at Penally Abbey Hotel- 4 Star Hotel
Situated in the village of Penally this magnificent hotel, built on the site of an ancient monastery, Penally Abbey has magnificent sea views of Caldey island and the Gower Peninsular. It comprises of three separate limestone buildings: St Deiniol's Lodge; The Coach House and Abbey House; all different in style, but all equally alluring.
Evening Welcome. Following dinner brief presentation of Haunting Breaks to include paranormal terminology, equipment and how to use it. Learn the techniques of the ancient art of dowsing and how to use the dowsing tools that are presented to you the guest.
Day 2:
Tours: AM / Caldy Island
PM / Carw Castle
Visit Caldy Island
A pleasant boat trip from Tenby Harbour takes you to this beautiful and fascinating island. Caldey has been inhabited since the Stone Age, and has been home to various orders of monks since Celtic times. It is now owned by monks of the Cistercian Order, whose picturesque monastery overlooks the Village Green and the pretty cottages of the islanders.
Visit Carew Castle. The magnificent Carew Castle has a history spanning 2000 years. Set in a stunning location, overlooking a 23 acre millpond, the castle displays the development from a Norman fortification to an Elizabethan country house. The site incorporates an impressive 11th century Celtic Cross, the only restored Tidal Mill in Wales, a medieval bridge and a picnic area all linked by a delightful mile roundwalk. Return to Penally Abbey hotel for dinner
Day 3:
Travel to Miskin Manor Hotel
En-route visit Castell Coch
Castell Coch, meaning Red Castle in Welsh, is a perfect fairytale castle. This romantic creation of the Victorian age was designed by William Burgess for the 3rd Marquis of Bute. However the castle isn’t entirely “fanciful”, it was rebuilt from the ruins of a medieval castle!

PM / Guided tour of Llanchaich Fawr Manor House
Visit St. Fagans – The Welsh Museum of Life
The 100-acre parkland now has over thirty original buildings, moved from various parts of Wales and re-erected to show how the people of Wales lived at various times in history.Visit Llanchaich Fawr Manor House.The site where the manor house is now, is known to have had other dwellings built on the same land, reaching as far back as the Roman times. The manor house itself was built in 1530 for the Prichard family.
Visit Llanchaich Fawr Manor. Llancaiach Fawr is known to be one of the most haunted buildings in Wales, some things that have been noted are the sounds of children playing, a cot that rocks by itself, ghostly figures of a maid and a soldier have been seen and also people have noticed strange smells around them. Evening Welcome. Following dinner relaxed discussion of the tour and personal experiences.
Day 5: Following breakfast depart for homeward journey.
