The tour starts with a visit to the Nairobi National Park, one of Kenya’s original parks, established in 1946 and situated only 6km away from the Nairobi's city centre. We pick you up from your hotel or from the airport and take you on a game drive in the Nairobi National Park, which spans 46 square miles of pristine savannah and is home to large populations of giraffe, wildebeest, eland and gazelle. Prides of lions also appear at the entrance of Mbagathi Gorge – by the Athi River to the South with its Hippo pools.
Thereafter we stop over for lunch at the at the famous Brazilian styled Carnivore Restaurant where a sizzling BBQ with a great variety of meats, greets you upon arrival (vegetarian dishes are also available). After lunch you will visit the "Bomas of Kenya" a cultural centre whose name is derived from the Swahili word "Boma" or homestead. This introduces you to Kenya’s 16 major tribes and the homesteads reflect the diversity of the country’s rich culture. The highlight of the tour is a display of traditional dances and acrobatic shows performed at the venues expansive arena.
