Your Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe / Jinja (Approximately 1½ - 2 Hours Drive)

Arrive Entebbe airport, met by your driver guide, drive a short distance to the Lake Victoria hotel for a quick brief on your safari. Drive through Kampala to the Eastern town of Jinja. En-route pass through the beautiful Mabira forest and the tea and sugar plantations on the outskirts of Jinja onto the Owen Falls Dam which marks a magnificent harnessing of power which supplies much of Kenya, Rwanda and all of Uganda. Visit the source where the longest River - the Nile, begins its remarkable 6,700 km journey through Africa into the Mediterranean Sea. Later in the evening visit the Masese fish-landing site. Overnight Gately on Nile

Day 2: Jinja/ Kampala (Approximately 1 hours' drive)

After breakfast, drive to the spectacular Bujagali falls which represents the power of the Nile as it thunders on its Northwest journey for the white water rafting. High bunjy jump or quad biking can be arranged (optional). Later in the afternoon drive back to Kampala. En route visit the Sezibwa falls in Mukono, Namugongo Martyrs shrines, Kampala tour. Day 3: Kampala / Murchison Falls (Approximately (6-7 Hours)

This morning rise up early, breakfast, and travel North Kampala Suburbs, through Luwero, onto Masindi town. Stop over for lunch. You will arrive at Murchison Falls National Park later in the afternoon. This is the largest park in Uganda with an area of approximately 3,893 sq km. It protects a chunk of untamed African savannah bisected by the mighty river Nile. It is named for the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the worlds' longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43 m below. Game includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe and a variety of antelope. Included: B, L, D.

Day 4: Murchison Falls

After breakfast you will go for an early morning game drive on the rolling plains where you can view lions, giraffe, hartebeest, Buffalo and elephant as well many other mammals of the park. For the birders, this area supports the secretary bird, black-chested snake eagle, tawny and marshal eagles and many others. This is a beautiful drive across the African savannah down to Lake Albert, where the Albert Nile heads north to Sudan.

Take an afternoon boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. This is an experience not to be missed! The launch trip gives you a chance to get up close with Nile hippos and to see the huge Nile crocodiles and other wildlife that may come down to drink from the river. Included: B, L, D.

Overnight Paraa Lodge

Day 5: Murchison Falls

This morning after breakfast, take a boat ride down river to the delta where the Nile empties into Lake Albert, it provides a best chance in Africa of sighting the rare shoe bill. Lunch at the lodge and then take another afternoon game drive returning to the lodge at dusk. Included: B, L, D.

Overnight Paraa Lodge

Day 6: Murchison Falls / Entebbe (Approximately 6-7 Hours)

Early morning breakfast, game drive to the top of the Murchison Falls, where you can have a closer look at the gorge where the Nile squeezes into a 7 meter gorge dropping 43 m. The Falls are spectacular and thunderous with a beautiful rainbow displayed on sunny days. Later proceed to Kampala having lunch en route. Transfer to Entebbe and later fly out depending on flight departure times. (Your departure flight should be late in the afternoon or in the evening; otherwise another night can be arranged in Entebbe). Included: B, L.
