This is a small group adventure trip for ADULTS only where you will join other travellers from around the world. This is not a coach/hotel tour and tailor-made itineraries or car hire are NOT available. Trip is exclusively operated by OzXposure.
Explore the Pinnacles, hike to Natures Window, the Loop, and Z-bend Gorge in Kalbarri National Park, stroll on Shell Beach, visit the dolphins at Monkey Mia and snorkel & dive on the Ningaloo Reef.
Our Travel Style:
You will be joining a small group of other like-minded international travelers. Our small group sizes really let you get off the beaten path and escape the crowds. With no more than 25 people on tour you’ll enjoy all the flexibility of traveling with a small group of adventurous, like minded individuals. With our flexible night stops we can alter our itinerary to take in more of what you want to see. Only possible with a small group of adventurous people from all over the world.
Our tours are designed for adults (18+). However, due to the nature of these tours, they tend to incorporate activities and nightlife that appeal to the young and young at heart. And don't worry about coming by yourself, you'll quickly make friends with other people who are as keen to see and experience Australia and New Zealand as you are.
Accommodation: Budget Lodging
In Australia you could find yourself staying in a range of backpacker hostels, cabins, lodges, hotels and motels with the occasional pub. Most nights are based on multishare and wherever possible, we try to accommodate couples. Twin share rooms cannot be guaranteed but may be requested for a supplement.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Perth to Kalbarri
We depart Perth and head North through market gardens and vineyards to join up with Highway 1 on our way to Nambung National Park and the fascinating Pinnacles Desert. After exploring these unique formations we continue our journey northwards along coastal roads to Geraldton. After a short break we head out to some local sand dunes for an adrenalin rush sand boarding down these huge slopes. From here we continue on to Kalbarri and our overnight accommodation. (Lunch & Dinner included).
Day 2: Kalbarri to Shark Bay
After an early rise we take a short drive to Murchison Gorge in Kalbarri National Park. Here we take time to view Natures Window, the Loop and discover the wonders of the Z-Bend Gorge. At Z-Bend Gorge it is an exhilarating 150 metre descent into the heart of the gorge – well worth the effort – where there is time to explore and swim in the tranquil fresh water pools. For the adventurous there is even an opportunity to try your hand at abseiling (optional activity at additional cost). After a well earned lunch it’s time to make our way toward Monkey Mia, stopping at the beautiful Shell Beach and then onto Denham for our overnight stop. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included).
Day 3: Shark Bay to Coral Bay
After a short drive across the Peron Peninsula we make our way down to the beach and the world famous Monkey Mia dolphins – its a unique experience and there are some fantastic photo opportunities. All too soon its time to continue our journey northwards, stopping at a Carnarvon banana plantation where they sell yummy chocolate coated frozen bananas. From Carnarvon we finish the day by driving the highway to Coral Bay, the Jewel of the North. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included).
Day 4: Coral Bay to Exmouth
Today is yours to explore the wonders of the Ningaloo Reef and its fantastic marine widlife. You can go snorkeling, cruise on the glass bottom boat, take a quad bike tour or even a joy flight over the reef (all optional extra’s). Today is a day to relax. Late afternoon and its time for the short drive into Exmouth. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included).
Day 5: Exmouth
A day in Exmouth to relax. Laze on the beach or go diving (optional) or perhaps jump on the bus and tour around the area including Turquiose Bay and Yardie Creek. (Breakfast & Lunch included) NOTE: The 5 day tour option ends here.
Days 6 - 7: Exmouth - Perth
A 7.00am start for our leisurely trip back to Perth with an overnight stay at Northbrook Farmstay for our last evening together. In the morning we make the short journey to the Hutt River Province. Be enthralled listening to Prince Leonards story about how and why he seceded from Australia. A unique experience and part of our history. For those who wish to add another stamp to your passport bring yours along!! We depart Hutt River and begin our journey south towards Perth. Along the way we make a stop at the Greenough Wildlife Park - the home of a python breeding centre. Here you will have the opportunity, if you wish, to handle these lovely reptiles as well as many other native animals. Late afternoon we arrive back in Perth where we farewell our new friends. (Dinner included on day 6 + breakfast included on day 7).
