Your Itinerary
Day 1: (no meals included). Arrival Quito - our driver will meet you in airport arrivals and transport you to the majestic Hotel Patio Andaluz in the historic old town district of Quito. Patio Andaluz is an exquisitely-renovated old colonial house boasting centuries of history, located just 1 block from the central plaza of Quito that was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1978. Free time to relax and acclimatise to your new surroundings.
Day 2: (B included). Quito city tour - a full day to acquaint yourselves with the best sites of the city of Quito. In the morning a tour of the beautiful colonial plazas and churches as well as panoramic city views atop the Panecillo. After lunch a trip north to the equator - stand literally on the middle of the world! In the evening a horse-drawn carriage ride through the romantically-lit cobbled streets of the old town area.
Day 3: (B included). Otavalo market and hacienda - transfer north of Quito to visit the Indian market at Otavalo, famous across the Americas for it's fine handicrafts and colorful locals. In the afternoon and evening there is free time to explore the beautiful grounds of Hacienda Cusin - a charming 17th century estate steeped in history and tradition where you can enjoy a peaceful overnight stay.
Days 4-7: (B,L,D included at spa). Arasha tropical spa resort - 4 days and 3 nights to relax and partake in the many activities at the Arasha spa resort. All transfers and organization is taken care of by us so you can just sit back and enjoy! The spa package includes 1 spa treatment per person (others can be chosen at extra cost at the spa itself), as well as access to a huge range of interesting and fun activities (see list below) - in essence these days are entirely flexible to spend together as you best see fit. On day 7 only breakfast is included and the overnight hotel is Patio Andaluz in Quito.

It would be impossible to include all of these activities into your trip so it is best to treat the above as a "pick and mix" list and opt for the options that appeal most. Only the workshops and the primary forest tour need to be booked in advance, the others can be organized directly at Arasha.
Day 8: (B included). Tour end - after breakfast our driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight out.
This tour can run starting on any day of the week, however if you would like to visit the Otavalo market on official "market day" when there are more sellers then the market visit should be scheduled for a Saturday.
