Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Arrive Beijing, the capital of China. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your comfortable hotel. (D)
Day 2: Beijing
Begin the day’s activity with a visit to Tian’anmen Square, the largest urban square in the world. Then, move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the “Forbidden City”, the biggest palace complex in the world. Visit the enchanting Summer Palace, one of China’s largest and best-preserved royal gardens, where you can have a walk along the famous Long Corridor. Day 3: Beijing
Today’s highlight is the visit of the Great Wall, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” and a symbol of Chinese civilization. Then, move on to visit the Ming Tombs (Chang Ling Tomb) area where is for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty. (B-L-D)
Day 4: Beijing-Xi’an
Take morning flight to Xi'an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. City tour begins with a visit to the ancient City Wall which was built in 1370 A.D. Afternoon visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang. Attend a special Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show in the evening. (B-L-D)
Day 5: Xi’an
Full day excursion to the unparalleled highlight Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to the Huaqing Hot Spring - a former resort area especially for the emperors and the royal family and a visit to Banpo Village - the remains of a Neolithic village dating back to 6,000 years. Day 6: Xi’an-Guilin
Fly to Guilin in the morning. Sightseeing begins with visits to the most famous Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill and Fubo Hill up where you can climb for panoramic view of the city. (B-L-D)
Day 7: Guilin
Enjoy a morning cruise down the winding Li River to Yangshuo, viewing the spectacular scenery as it reflects in the crystalline water. You can explore Yangshuo, a small town with many stalls selling traditional Chinese arts and crafts articles. Then drive back to Guilin.(B-L-D)
Day 8: Guilin-Shanghai
Fly to Shanghai, the bustling commercial heart of China, known as the "Paris of the East". The tour begins with a stroll along the lively waterfront "The Bund", then a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured. Day 9: Shanghai
Sightsee the fascinating Yuyuan Garden, a well-restored Suzhou-style garden, and take a walk through the Old Town filled with antique markets and specialty stores. Visit the marvelous Shanghai Museum, a leading attraction of the city since it opened in 1994, containing some priceless collections of paintings, porcelains and bronzes. If time permits, stroll on Nanjing Road, which is the famous shopping area in Shanghai. (B-L-D)
Day 10: Return from Shanghai
Be transferred to the airport and prepare for boarding on your homebound flight. (B)
