Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: The journey begins with a scenic drive which takes approximately 5-6 hours. Stop at the Equator and learn about the Earth’s magnetic poles. Arrive at Mweya Safari Lodge for check-in, dinner, and a bit of a rest! Then head out for a late afternoon game drive where you will have the opportunity to see elephants, water bucks, warthogs, hippos and others. You might want to head to the Kasenyi area of the park where lions are frequently spotted.
Day 2: This morning you will go for an 8.00am chimp trek in the Kyambura Gorge and return to the lodge for lunch. Take an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, and get even closer to the wildlife: watch the hippos huff and spray merely feet away! Keep a lookout for pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, and saddle billed stork.
Day 3: Go for a pre-breakfast sunrise game drive, when animals are most active, then head back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Today you head back to Kampala, stopping in Mbarara for lunch.
