A private guide awaits your arrival in Cusco and will take you to your chosen hotel and to visit the center of Inca civilization. Your spiritual journey begins with a private tour of Sacsayhuaman where many rituals were performed and the eleven sided “la Puerta” locks the spiritual channels which legend has it lie beneath. Tour the Sacred Valley including the Pisac Indian Market, Ollantaytambo fortress, and an optional visit to the weaving villages of Willoq and Patachancha. Overnight at the Pakaritampu hotel in Ollantaytambo. Take the vistadome train to Aguas Calientes where you overnight at the base of Machu Picchu.
In the early morning you your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to Machu Picchu before the crowds arrive. After a lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge you are guided up the peak overlooking Machu Picchu. On the way up to Huanya Picchu enjoy a stop at the Moon Palace. The “buena vista” from Huanya Picchu is spectacular, if you missed it the first time you were there, go back!
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Cusco. Upon your arrival in Cusco our staff will greet you at the airport for a private transfer to your hotel. With you private guide afternoon city tour and tour of the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay. Overnight Midori Hotel Cusco.
Day 2: Sacred Valley. Private service tour of the Pisac Indian market, Pablo Seminario Workshop, and Ollantytambo Fortress. Overnight Pakaritampu Hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day 3: Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes. Private service tour of Willoc and Patachancha weaving villages. From the Sacred Valley of the Incas we travel the non-paved road 19 kilometers up along a narrow canyon lined with ancient agricultural terraces to the Village of Willoc, renown as home to the most skilled weavers of the region.
Willoc, a native rural Quechua community, is located at 12,129 feet. Home to a group of families rich in cultural values. Most men earn their living as porters for the Inca Trek and are known as "Huayruros". Women also strong and resourceful are outstanding weavers known for producing the highest quality textiles in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Afternoon vista dome train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight Hanaq Pacha Inn.
Day 4: Machu Picchu – Huanya Picchu. Private service morning tour of Machu Picchu, lunch at Sanctuary lodge, and guided hike to Huanya Picchu. Afternoon Vistadome train to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight Midori Hotel Cusco.
Day 5: Cusco. Private transfer to airport.
