Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Head South towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, stopping at the Equator for a brief presentation on the Earth’s magnetic poles. Stop in Mbarara or Kabale for lunch and then proceed through Uganda’s rolling hills, often referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’. Scope out the impressive triangular peaks of the Virungu volcanoes of Rwanda and Congo en-route before finally arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla!
Day 2: This morning begin your trek through the bush with an experienced ranger. Push your way through the thick undergrowth and creepers to track the gorillas. If you have the energy, spend the rest of the afternoon on a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail which leads to beautiful waterfalls. Or, if you prefer, take a guided village walk and see how Ugandans live, visit a local bar and meet a local medicine man.
Day 3: After breakfast, you will return back to Kampala, a 9-10 hour drive. You will stop along the way for lunch arriving late in the afternoon.
