Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Lima pick up. Upon arrival reception and transfer to the select hotel - overnight (no meals)

Day 2: Lima / Puerto Maldonado - Macaw Clay lick 3/2

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado (airfare included) upon arrival reception and transfer to the Wasai Maldonado Lodge, where you will receive a welcoming tropical fruit beverage. You will embark for a 3 to 4 hour motorboat trip up the Tambopata river to Wasai Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (box lunch on board).

During the trip into the heart of the rain forest we will be able to observe clouds of butterflies, typical Amazon communities , while groups of birds pass over the boat and animals such as capybaras turtles and caiman. Reception and accommodation at Wasai lodge. Introductory walk to understand rainforest ecosystems and see some of the amazing trees . Return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner we will return to the river to search for caimans ( type of alligator) . We will enjoy diverse sounds of the jungle which will accompany our first night in the amazon. Sleep in the lodge.

Day 3: Tambopata River and Macaws

Wake up early (5 am) and travel up the Tambopata River for an our and half to the Bahuaja - Sonene National Park. You will see a magical sunrise and it is a great opportunity to see animals such as capybaras, tapir , Jaguar, and deer in the surrounding virgin forest. We will observe ( from a save distance) one of the greatest spectacle of the rainforest: Hundreds of parrots, parakeets and macaws of various species, enjoying their diet of mineral salts on a river bank. We will have a hot drink and a snack whilst watching birds and go for a short walk to look for animals such as monkeys. We will return to to the lodge to have a late breakfast, and rest.

After lunch we will enter the verdant jungle on a special trail to observe wild life. We will then enter the territory of peccaries, deer, and others, with the possibility to hear or see the tracks of them, or discovering a troop of monkeys traveling through the forest in search of food. Time permitting, we will be able to enjoy a relaxing swim in the cascade of the cat.After dinner we can make another trip through the jungle, search for caimans or relax in our lodge surrounded by exotic nocturnal sounds.

Day 4: Puerto Maldonado – Cusco

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (airfare included) upon arrival reception and transfer to the select hotel - rest of day at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude - overnight (B)

Day 5: City tour

Morning at leisure, afternoon 2;00pm you will be taken on a city tour and visit a local archeological sites, the Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman and surroundings returning later afternoon 5:30pm to your hotel around and enjoy the hospitality of the local people (B)

Day 6: Inca Trail to Machupicchu 4/3 to Km. 82

At six in the morning, we pick up our passengers at their hotels and travel by bus to the Km 82, the start of the Inca Trail. We start our trek escorted by native “Quechua'' porters hike to Llulluchapampa. The first day the trail leads along the Urubamba River, offering you spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and intense flora. camp at Huayllabamba (breakfast at Hotel, lunch and dinner on hike)

Day 7: Pacamayo

We will begin to climb the first pass, Warmiwañusca (4,200 m. alt.), This second day is more challenging as you climb a 4.200-meter high pass, often covered in mist where there is a spectacular view of the valley below. This night, we will camp along the river Pacamayo at the bottom of the pass.(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8: WiñayhuAyna

After breakfast, we will hike towards Runku Rakay and traverse the second pass of the same name (3,800 masl). A stone path guides you through a dense cloud forest to Wiña Wayna, passing many Inca ruins on the way final night near the ruins of Wiñayhuayna (B, L, D)

Day 9: Machu Picchu

We will rise very early so that we may watch the sunrise from Inti Punku “Sun Gate” the fog lifts and you are looking down onto Machu Picchu just as the Incas did centuries before you. The sight is awe inspiring - a sprawling temple bathed in sunlight. Guided tour follow by some time at leisure, overnight at the Presidente hostel or similar - overnight

Day 10: Machupicchu – Cusco

Morning at leisure to explore by your own (entrance and bus fee not included on the rate) in the afternoon we will take the train back in Cusco where we will arrive around 8:30pm (breakfast) As an option, you may stay overnight in Machu Picchu - easy to arrange upon request

Day 11: Cusco / Puno

7:00am pick up from your hotel and transfer to the bus station to depart to Puno 8 hours journey, on the way you will visit some archeological sites, arrival reception and transfer to select Hotel - overnight (B, L)

Day 12: Uros and Taquile

We will pick you up from your hostel at 07.15 a.m. and we will go to our boat. Today we will visit the floating islands of Uros, located inside the bay of Lake Titikaka only nine miles away from the city (20 to 30 minutes of navigation). It is believed that the Uros were one of the first ethnic groups populating the Andean region. When the Spanish chroniclers encountered the Uros by the end of the XVI century, the Uros were still living on the lake in small reed-boats that they used as floating houses. Only in the early 60's, the Uros started to build small artificial islands with reeds for their homes. Then we will discover Taquile, the biggest island of the lake. Taquile has approximately 1,200 inhabitants. The people from this island have a Quechua origin and they are mostly small farmers. We will arrive in the northern dock of the island and we will start 1 hour hike as far as the main village of Taquile, where we will visit the plaza and the market. After lunch we will return to Puno from the main dock. We will arrive in Puno at 17:30 p.m.

Note: Take note that there are 533 steps to get on top of the Island

Day 13: Puno / Arequipa

Pick up form you hotel to take your flight to Arequipa. upon arrival reception and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure to acclimatize.overnight. Breakfast included.

Day 14: Arequipa - City Tour

Afternoon: City tour to Historical Center , taking in the Plaza of Armas, the Jesuita Church of the Society of Jesus, the Santa Catalina Monastery, then visit to the Yanahuara Neighborhood, the beautiful colonial district, where we visit the "Mirador". Finally return to your hotel - Overnight

Day 15: Colca Canyon 2/1

Early in the morning, depart on a wonderful four hours bus trip to the ColcaCanyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 mts.). On the trip we drive across Pampa Cañahuas in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, inhabited by herds of vicuñas and alpacas (South American camelids). We also see beautiful pre-Columbian terraces, still being cultivated by native Collaguas. Box lunch. On your arrival at Colca Valley, transfer to the selected logde. In the afternoon, we recommend you to rest and get used to the altitude. If you are in good shape, you will have free time to stroll around the lodge's surroundings or you could take a repairing bath at the hot springs nearby the lodge. Dinner and overnight at selected lodge at the Colca Valley.

Day 16: Condor Cross / Arequipa

We leave early in the morning to the "Condor's Cross", where the biggest bird in the world can be usually seen flying. On the way back we visit the colonial towns and churches of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca. Good opportunity to appreciate the life of these people that has changed little since Inca times. Lunch at a local restaurant. Late afternoon return to the selected hotel in Arequipa evening free.

Day 17: Arequipa /Lima

You will be picked up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima(airfare included) upon arrival reception and transfer to the select hotel, day at leisure. Breakfast included.

Day 18: Transfer out. Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back home - end of our services.
