A journey by the occident of Bolivia, we begin the journey in La Paz (3.600 m.a.s.l.) and then we go toward Los Yungas, the Titikaka Lake, the Huayna Potosí and Chacaltaya, the Sajama National Park, Potosí and Sucre, and finally the incredible Uyuni Salt Flat, Laguna Colorada and Verde. A journey of 17 days with a high contact with the nature and history through the most important sights of Bolivia.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer in: Airport – Hotel.

Day 2: We depart early towards downtown to initiate the city tour. During the afternoon, photo tour around the city.

Day 3: Departure to Huatajata beside to the Titikaka Lake, the trip has a duration of one hour and half. Journey around the lake by motor boat. Lunch and departure toward to the archaeological ruins of Tiwanaku. Return to the hotel.

Day 4: Departure toward Chacaltaya, 19 miles from La Paz city. Walk to the refuge and ex ski hint (altitude 5.300 m.a.s.l). Then, departure toward the colour lakes at the foot of Huayna Potosi. Lunch and guided tour to the main glacier. Return to the hotel.

Day 5: Departure toward Coroico, 63 miles from La Paz, Coroico is located in the area called Los Yungas. Lunch and visit to the waterfalls of Cochuna. Return to La Paz city.

Day 6: Transfer to the Sajama National Park, 188 miles from La Paz, this park is the highest snowed mountain of Bolivia with an altitude of 6542 m.a.s.l. We’ll visit the church of Curahura de Carangas, considered as “The Sistine Chapel” from the Bolivian plateau. Lunch and accommodation at the house of a villager. During the afternoon, visit the hot springs and geysers. During the night we’ll appreciate the magnificent views of the sky and the stars.

Day 7: Transfer to Potosí city. Lunch during the trip and free night.

Day 8: Guided tour to the mines in the Cerro Rico of Potosi. Lunch. During the afternoon visit to the most important museums and some streets of the colonial city.

Day 9: Transfer to Sucre city, we visit the prints of dinosaurs in the biggest reservation of the world. Lunch and free time to walk by the historical capital of Bolivia.

Day 10: Departure to Tarabuco, a recognized town for it’s textile art. Lunch and visits the museums and fairs. Return to Sucre city.

Day 11: Departure to the mining town of Pulacayo in the proximities of Uyuni. Sundance Kid and Butch Cassidy stole an important load of money in this town; it’s still possible to see the locomotive that loaded the money. Accommodation at the house of a villager.

Day 12: Transfer to Uyuni, provisioning in the town and departure toward to the biggest salt lake in the world. Lunch in the “Isla Pescado” and then we cross the salt lake to San Juan.

Day 13: Departure toward “Laguna Colorada”. Lunch during the trip. At night, accommodation at the house of a villager.

Day 14: Departure toward “Laguna verde”. Lunch and then transfer to San Cristóbal’s town where we’ll spend the night.

Day 15: Return to Uyuni, Lunch in the Salt Lake and visit to the salt hotels.

Day 16: Return to La Paz, 346 miles.

Day 17: Transfer out. Hotel – Airport. (return to the top)
