Enter 2009 in a different and fascinating world at Europe´s door step. From a strange first impression to the full imersion in the Berbere culture, you will be touched by the close contact with the villages, people and traditions of an ancient civilization. Discover fascinating roots of the Southern European culture in places where we will be hiking.
Level: Beginner/Intermediate.
Walking time: 4/6 hours daily (with personal backpack).
Trekking routes in altitudes between 800/2000 mt.
Daily accumulated climbing under 1000 mt.
Accommodations: Budget (camping, B&B or huts).

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Trip to Marrakech (Morocco). Meet in Marrakech airport. Overnight at Hotel in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech - Sidi Bedhaj
Van Transfer from Marrakesh to Sidi Bedhaj (1h), south of Lala Takarkoust Dam. The starting point of our trekking route is 3 km from Amzmiz village, in the Wirgane road, through a nice little shade valley, not far from Sidi Bedhaj village (1000m). After meeting our muleteers the group will head to Ait Zitoune (1200m), in a 3 hour hike. Overnight at Hut Da Brahim, in Ait Zitoune. Hiking time - approx. 3 h
Day 3: Ait Zitoune - Ait Hmad
Our second stage will link Ait Zidoune and Ait Hmad villages by a trail that contours the mountain slope and allows a wonderful panoramic view over the Haouz plateau and Marrakesh. We continue heading Ait Hmad, passing through Anmanar village where we can find the sepulchre of Saint Sidi Hssaine. Soon we will arrive our destination, Ait Hmad (1300m). Overnight at Hut Aroub Hassan, in Ait Hmad. Hiking time - approx. 5 h
Day 4: Ait Hmad -- Imi n Tala
From Ait Hmad, our hiking pass through Imazay, Toug al khir and Anougal valley. Next we walk through villages Imi n Tala and Adouz (1600m), where we will be staying overnight. Overnight at Hut Ait Ouhman My Al Houssain, in Adouz. Hiking time - approx. 4h
Day 5: Imi n Tala - Azgour - Tizqui
We start the day by gently climbing with some gorgeous views overlooking Anougal valley. The path follows by the meadows shade in the mountain contour. Leaving a trail bend we will unveil the view of villages build on the top of the rocky ridge, emerging from a green landscape. In very end we will go down to Tizqui, our destination (1300m). Overnight in the house of Omar My Moukhtar, in Azgour. Hiking time - approx. 5h
Day 6: Tizqui - Wadaker
From Tizqui village we descend gently by a narrow valley. Vegetation gradually changes, increasing the number of Alep pines, but we look for a shade under the walnut trees to have our pic-nic... New Year´s eve celebration in a secret spot! Overnight at Hut Tilila. Hiking time - approx. 4h
Day 7: Marrakech
Van transfer to Marrakech. Free time to visit Marrakech. Overnight at hotel in Marrakech.
Day 8: Return trip
Return trip to your country (not included). Optional return trip to Lisboa (Portugal) by van (no extra cost).
