Day 1: Arrive in Mexico City and we'll transfer you from the airport to your selected hotel. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. Day 2: Breakfast, get to know Frida's hometown. We'll acquaint you with some of Mexico City's major sites on a half-day city tour. We begin by showing you the famous zocalo (town square) and Presidential Palace where you'll see some the famous mural done by Frida's husband, Diego Rivera, covering much of Mexico's history. Continue your exploration of the capital city with visits to the metropolitan cathedral, Reforma and Chapultepec areas including the opportunity to see many of the famous statues and monuments located throughout this upscale part of the city. We end the tour at the Anthropology Museum. You'll be returned to the hotel in the afternoon with a chance to enjoy the city on your own. Day 3: This private tour will show you Frida Kahlo Museum and the Dolores Olmedo Museum. Frida is alive and well in her self portrait paintings and we can think of no better way to learn and understand about Frida and her life than through the artwork shown on this day. The area of Coyoacan, Frida's neighborhood, is also visited. We'll give you walking tours of these wonderful museums and time to do some browsing on your own. In the early evening we'll return to your hotel. Day 4: The final day of your tour, well show you the Aztec pyramids of Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Guadalupe in one spectacular tour. You'll be impressed by these important national treasures and even get a stronger sense of what Mexico City has to offer. A fitting final day to an unforgettable tour.
