We will begin in the capital of Buenos Aires, the largest city and port in the country, located on the southern shore of the Río de la Plata, on the southeastern coast of the South American continent. Buenos Aires is sometimes referred to as the "Paris of South America" because it is strongly influenced by European culture. San Carlos de Bariloche is a city in the province of Río Negro, Argentina, situated on the foothills of the Andes, surrounded by lakes and mountains. It is famous for skiing but also great for sight-seeing, water sports, trekking and climbing. Cerro Cathedral is one of the most important ski centers in South America.

El Calafate is a little village in Patagonia, Argentina. It is situated in the southern border of Lake Argentino, in the southwest part of the Santa Cruz Province, about 320 km Northwest from Río Gallegos. Its name comes from a little bush with yellow flowers very common in Patagonia, with dark blue berries: the calafate; the word comes from the word "calafate", which is Spanish for "caulk". Calafate is an important tourist destination as the hub to visit different parts of the Los Glaciares National Park, including the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Cerro Chaltén and Cerro Torre.

The Perito Moreno Glacier is located in the Los Glaciares National Park in Santa Cruz province, Argentina. The Perito Moreno glacier, located 78 km from El Calafate, was named after the explorer Francisco Moreno, a pioneer who studied the region in the 19th century. The terminus of the Perito Moreno Glacier is 5 km wide, with an average height of 60 meters above the surface of the water, with a total ice depth of 170 meters. The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating.

Ushuaia is the capital of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego, and the world's southernmost city. It is located on the southern coast of the island of Tierra del Fuego, in a setting surrounded by mountains and overlooking the Beagle Channel. Tierra del Fuego National Park is a national park on the Argentine part of the island of Tierra del Fuego, within Tierra del Fuego Province. The national park stretches 60 km north from the Beagle Channel along the Chilean border and can be reached from the city of Ushuaia.
