Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Lima (500 ft). At your arrival at Lima airport (at any time), our English-speaking representative will welcome you and escort you by air-conditioned motorcar privately to The Country Club Lima Hotel in the San Isridro district, the safest and most romantic area of Lima.
Day 2: Flight Lima - Cusco (1.10 hour). Transfer to the airport for flight to Cusco. At your arrival at Cusco airport our English-speaking representative will meet you and drive you to Novotel Hotel, the most luxurious hotel in the city. Cusco (11,150 ft). Private guided city tour of Cusco & Visit to the four nearby Inca Ruins: You will visit famous Sacsayhuaman, with the most massive rock walls of any site in the world; Qenko, site of the carved living rock; Puca Pucara, an Inca lodging Site & Tambo Machay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Day 3: Full day excursion to Machu Picchu, the lost city (8,200 ft). Morning: Transfer from your Hotel to the train station & departure to Aguas Calientes (the base town of Machu Picchu). Short bus journey to Machu Picchu. Today will certainly be one of the most spectacular days of your tour! You will have a private guided tour of the most amazing & mysterious of all Inca Sites. You will learn about the history of this site, who lived there, how it was discovered in modern times and why the Spaniards never found it. You will have some insight into the various features of the city and after that you will have some free time to really enjoy yourself alone in this spectacularly located site. This is an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever.

Day 4: Flight Cusco – Lima / Lima Tour and Romantic Dinner! Morning: Transfer from your Hotel by private motorcar to Cusco airport for flight to Lima. Arrival at Lima airport and transfer by private motorcar to The Country Club Lima hotel. We will drive you downtown Lima, known as into the City of the Kings. Our English speaking tourguide will help you to get to know the Plaza de Armas, with the baroque cathedral, the Palacio de Gobierno (Governors Palace), the Archbishop's Palace with its big carved wooden balconies, and the convent of San Francisco, whose bright yellow facade covers a grisly secret. Underneath the convent lie extensive catacombs that served as the cemetery for the whole of Lima during the colonial period! Evening: Our driver will pick you up from your Hotel and take you by private motorcar to the world famous La Rosa Nautica Restaurant where you will have a specially prepared romantic dinner enjoying a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean under the stars! Our driver will pick you up from La Rosa Nautica and bring you back to The Country Club Lima Hotel. Includes: (B, D)
Day 5: Flight Lima – Iquitos / Ceiba Tops. Early Morning: transfer from your Hotel by private motorcar to the Lima airport for your flight to Iquitos. Reception at the Iquitos airport with refreshments. You will have brief city orientation and transfer the Explorama dock for you twenty-five mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops where private rooms with air conditioning and hot water provide all of the comforts of home. You will have an afternoon hike in the beautiful primary rainforest reserve marveling at the many huge trees festooned with enormous airplants (epiphytes) and see monkeys, many species of birds, and perhaps even a sloth. After dinner there may be local flute or guitar music at the El Toucan Bar or the guides are always ready to relate some of the many legends of the Amazon forest. Overnight Ceiba Tops. Day 6: Ceiba Tops. Morning boat ride, spotting for dolphins, to visit a small village of Yagua Indians where your guide will explain the Yagua Indian culture and how it was affected by the arrival of Europeans and the passing of time. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the local crafts and for a demonstration of the blowgun which some of the Yagua elders still use for hunting. Afternoon walking excursion to the neighboring town of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital. Day 7: Ceiba Tops / Canopy Walkway / Ceiba Tops. Early morning departure from Ceiba Tops by boat to the narrow motorcar crossing connecting the Amazon and Napo Rivers to continue by boat to ExplorNapo Lodge for breakfast. Hike to the spectacular Canopy Walkway spanning over 500 meters (one-third of a mile), connected by tree platforms, and reaching a height of over 35 meters (115 feet) but accessible without any type of climbing skill or equipment. After lunch, visit the "ReNuPeRu" Ethnobotanical Garden where over 240 medicinal plants are cultivated by a local shaman who will explain the nature of Amazonian natural healing and the uses of some of the plants. Return to Ceiba Tops in time to enjoy the pool or hammocks before dinner. Overnight Ceiba Tops. Includes: (B, L, D)
Day 8: Ceiba Tops / Iquitos-Lima. International Flight. Your choice of a morning walking or boating excursion to further enjoy the rainforest and Amazon River or time to relax by the pool until departure time. Afternoon transfer to Iquitos airport to take your flight to Lima. Arrival at Lima Airport early enough to take your flight back home. Includes: (B, L)
