Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It will cater you a mix-experience of lively nature charm full Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama-Religion. A ride on little Toy Train through the hill tracts will take you to the Queen of the hill stations. Darjeeling is a plant lovers paradise where four thousand species of flowering plants and three hundred varieties of ferns could be seen. It has a large variety of fauna. Darjeeling is the best place for an exclusive view of Himalayan snow-capped peaks including the view of Everest and Khangchendzonga. Darjeeling is famous for its colourful people. It is an ideal place of relaxation and a visit to Lloyd Botanic Garden, Natural history Museum, Art Gallery. Observatory Hills, Dhirdham Temple, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Rangeet valley Ropeway, Lebong Race Course, the nine hole Golf course etc. will be the added attraction for the tourists. One may do some excursion tours to Kurseong, Mirik, Takdah, Mungpo, Kalimpong and Tiger Hills etc.

One must make a predawn trip to Tiger hill to observe the sunrise over Mount Everest and Mt. Khanchendzonga. Kurseong is only 32 km away from Darejeeling. It is a charming health resort. This recently opened trek route encompasses the area southwest of Dzongri and as defined by it’s name, includes several days of hike traversing the Singalila Range, the lesser mountain chain that rises from the northern hills of Darjeeling District and extends to converge with the Khangchendzonga (or Kanchenjunga) massif. The Singalila is also the divide that demarcates the western borders of Sikkim and Darjeeling with Nepal. As one traverses this razor-edged borderline ridge, spectacular views abound on both sides with rare species of rhododendron in bloom (at the right season), and an occasional herd of yaks with its herder will be your only source of contact with civilization for quite a number of days.
