Darjeeling: the name is derived from the Tibetan word "Dorje" which means the precious stone or ecclesiastical scepter, which is emblematic of the thunderbolt of Indra, and 'ling' - a place, hence the land of the thunderbolt. The scepter of Indra is believed to have fallen at a place where now stands the Observatory Hill. Darjeeling beckons thousands today for a leisurely respite from the bustle of the madding crowd. The travelers - whether a tourist or a trekker, an ornithologist or a photographer, a botanist or an artist - will find in Darjeeling an experience which will remain etched in ones memory - forever.

Sikkim: long sequestered, this Himalayan State of Sikkim has now started attracting the attention of tourists and scholars alike. Amidst the grandeur of the mountain peaks, the pristine and unspoiled natural beauty of the alpine landscapes and thick luxuriant tropical forests rivers in torrents and peaceful lakes, Sikkim offers her visitors a life time experience. The rugged land of just 7,069 sq. km, the state is sandwiched between Nepal in the west and Bhutan in the east.

Tibet lies on its northern border while state of West Bengal occupies the southern border. The elevation varies between 300 meters to 8500 meters. The greater Himalayas from a natural boundary with Tibet and Singalila range, with Mt. Kanchendzonga (8545 meters), the third highest peak in the world runs north to south separating Sikkim from Nepal.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival India. Transfer to Hotel after meeting our Representative. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Fly to Bagdogra. Transfer to hotel at Kalimpong. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 3: Sight seeing of Kalimpong. Drive to Gangtok. Check in to hotel. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 4: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 5: City tour of Gangtok and excursion to Rumtek, Ranka and Enchay Monastery. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 6: Drive to Pelling on the way visiting Yuksum. Overnight at Pelling.

Day 7: Visit of the Ruins of Sikkim King, Visit of Rimbi and Kanchandzonga Falls and Kechopalri Lake. Overnight at Pelling.

Day 8: Visit of Pemayangtse Monastery and Later on Drive to Darjeeling. Overnight at Darjeeling.

Day 9: Visit of Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop and places of interest of Darjeeling. Overnight at Darjeeling.

Day 10: Excursion to Mirik and Pasupati Temple.

Day 12: Drive to Bagdogra for the Connection and get International Connection from Delhi or Kolkata.
