The potential highlights for this spectacular area are enormous and in a remarkably short space of time you will encounter a typical avifauna for each area. During our week long exploration of the Andes we hope for Chestnut-breasted Mountain-Finch, Creamy-crested Spinetail, Diademed Tapaculo and the splendid Andean Cock-of-the-rock.
Continuing into the depths of the Amazon we will explore the overwhelming Manu Biosphere Reserve, one of the most important and diverse conservation units in the world. The number of star birds in this area is again overwhelming with stellar potentials including Rufous-headed Woodpecker, Manu Antbird, Elusive Antpitta, Razor-billed Curassow, Pale-winged Trumpeter, Pavonine Quetzal, Purus Jacamar, Sunbittern, Sungrebe and Agami Heron.
