Explore Marrakesh, have an easy day hike in the High Atlas Mountains, and take your time exploring the castles in the sand at Essaouira. This trip is the perfect remedy for any travel bug. We offer set and customized tour dates. Our set dates for the 2008 Budge Morocco Tour are from March 8 to March 15.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Begin Morocco tour in Marrakesh. In Marrakesh, we will be staying in a winsome raid in the old Medina. The Medina, which means "Old City" is a World Heritage Site. You will have the day to visit the Menara gardens, the famous and historical Jemaa el Fna Square and eat various foodstuff from a multitude of stalls.
Day 2: Marrakesh. Today you can accompany a tour leader who will be walking through the souk (covered market) to the Ali ben Youssef Madrassa or the Koubba Baadiyn, Koutoubia Mosque. You can wander on your own and visit tombs, gardens and famous palaces.
Day 3: High Atlas Mountains. After breakfast, we will leave for Imlil in the High Atlas Mountains. Once there, we will hike up to Armed. You can hike around the village and even see Mt. Toubkal in the distance. All your meals are included while in the mountains.
Day 4: Essaouira. After coming down we'll head to Essaouira. This laid-back, coastal town is full of character and shops galore. You'll have plenty of time on your own to explore this ancient harbor town.
Day 5: Essaouira. Today, you can explore some more and have a lunch or dinner of fish and wine on the peer. If you into adventure and wind and weather permitting, you will be able to try kayaking, kite surfing, wind surfing, or just regular surfing. This is the Wind Capital of Africa!
Day 6: Essaouira to Marrakesh. We'll head back to Marrakesh and have the rest of the afternoon and evening to do some last minute shopping and packing. There's probably more to see you may have missed from day 1 and 2.
Day 7: End Marrakesh. Today is departure day. Check out time from the riad is noon.
