Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa; to enable you to adapt to the time shift. Overnight preferred hotel in Addis.
Day 2: After breakfast drive Addis to Debre Markos; on the way visit Debre Libanos Monastry and Abay bridge. Overnight hotel in Debre Markos.
Day 3: Drive Debre Markos - Bahir Dar; in the afternoon drive to Blue Nile Falls which is fed by Lake Tana near the city of Bahir Dar, Ethiopia forms the upstream of the Blue Nile. It is also known as Tis Issat meaning "smoke fire”. Overnight in hotel Bahir Dar.
Day 4: Morning breakfast and make boat excursion on Lake Tana to visit Monasteries on lake Tana. Return to Bahir Dar. Overnight hotel in Bahir Dar.
Day 5: Drive Bahir Dar – Gonder; Visit 17th Century castles and church of Debre Birhan Silassie. Overnight hotel in Gonder.
Day 6: Drive Gonder – Debark; visit the Semien mountains national park. Overnight hotel in Debark.
Day 7: Drive Debark – Tekeze river – Axum. Overnight hotel in Axum.
Day 8: Visit the sights of Axum; which include the Northern stele fields, Queen of Sheba Baths and palace, and the Great Stele, that attract many tourists, scientists and scholars to see it. Overnight hotel in Axum.
Day 9: Axum – Yeha temple - Mekele. Visit the 6th A.D temple of Yeha. Overnight hotel in Mekele.
Day 10: Drive Mekele – Lalibela. Overnight hotel in Lalibela.
Day 11: Full day visit – It was King Lalibela who builds the 13 rock-hewn churches. “Lalibela” they say it's the 8th world wonder. Overnight hotel in Lalibela.
Day 12: Optional excursion by mule or by car in the surrounding churches in Lalibela. Overnight hotel in Lalibela.
Day 13: Drive Lalibela – Dessie. Overnight hotel in Dessie.
Day 14: Early in the morning drive Dessie – Addis Ababa shopping at Addis Ababa evening departure.
