This program is available all year around. In the Ecuadorian coast you can take a look at the whales from June to early October. We recommend a Galapagos tour extension to complete your Exotic Ecuador experience.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Flight arrival from Europe to Quito, transfer in. Hotel.
Day 2: Rest day + Colonial City Tour in Quito. Hotel.
Day 3: Quito, from the middle of the world to Papallacta’s Hot Springs at 3220 m. Hotel.
Day 4: From Papallacta to Otavalo “San Pablo” lagoon. Hotel.
Day 5: “San Pablo” lagoon to Otavalo Market, later to “Cuicocha” lake. Full day. Hotel.
Day 6: From Otavalo to Cotopaxi National Park. House Farm “Volcano Land”. House Farm.
Day 7: Cotopaxi - Baños. In the morning, horseback riding, visit to the Cotopaxi’s glacier at 4800m. In the afternoon - trip to Baños. Hotel.
Day 8: Baños. Full day, a lot activity, bike, hiking, etc. Hotel.
Day 9: Baños - Riobamba. We visit Chimborazo mountain at 5000m. In the afternoon Riobamba. Hotel.
Day 10: Riobamba - Ingapirca. From Riobamba taking an Andes train, this day we have a full color of nature, visit the “Devil nose”, etc., Alausi, Ingapirca. Hostel.
Day 11: Ingapirca - Cuenca. Visit the Incas ruins in the morning, at the afternoon arrival to Cuenca. Hotel.
Day 12: Cuenca. Visit Cuenca and the colonial city museum, ceramics, Chordeleg gold village, “artigraphs” full day. In the afternoon - Cuenca. Hotel.
Day 13: Cuenca - Pto. Lopez Beach. We leave from Cuenca by “El Cajas” area at 4200m. We stop for look and take pictures. In the afternoon arrive to the “La Alandaluz” hostel. Hostel.
Day 14: “La Alandaluz” Hostal - Pto. Lopez. We visit the “Isla de la Plata” island and look the dance of the humpbacked whales, activities in the Sea full day, in the afternoon return to “La Alandaluz”. Hostel.
Day 15: Pto. Lopez - Manta. After visiting “Los Frailes” beach and Machallila National Park, we drive to Manta City. Hotel.
Day 16: Manta - Quito, we visit the very famous Panama hat’s handcrafters in Montecristi, continue driving to Quito, we see the very nice landscapes.
Day 17: Quito - Coca - Pañacocha “mine Piraña lake”. We fly for 35 minutes to Coca. From here we take a canoe for 5 hours to arrive to our destinations, Pañacocha Lodge.
Day 18: Early in the morning we have a full activity program in the jungle. Lodge.
Day 19: Activities in the jungle full day. Hiking in the jungle, fishing the piranha. Swimming in the Piranha lagoon. Lodge.
Day 20: We leave from the lodge after the noon river up to Coca, arrival to Coca in the evening. Hotel.
Day 21: Coca - Quito, Flight for 35 minutes arrival to Quito at 14h. Free afternoon. Hotel.
Day 22: Quito – Transfer out, flight home or extension trip to the Galapagos Islands.
