Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Oslo, Norway. Transfer upon arrival from the airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or explore this Norwegian Capital. Overnight accommodation at Rica Oslo or similar.
Day 2: In Oslo. At 10am, take the 4 hour regular sightseeing tour “Oslo Combination” by coach and boat and visit the fjord, the Vigeland sculpture park, the Holmenkollen ski jump with ski museum, the Viking ships and the Kon-Tiki Raft. Overnight accommodation at Rica Oslo or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Oslo – Kristiansand. After breakfast, travel by train to Kristiansand. Afternoon arrival. Check-in at your hotel in city center. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Norway’s floral town with more than 20,000 summer flowers greeting the visitors and residents alike in the center during the summer. Overnight accommodation at Clarion Hotel Ernst or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Kristiansand – Stavanger. Continue your train journey to Stavanger. Afternoon arrival. Check-in at your hotel in city center. The rest of the day is at leisure. A chance to explore Europe’s best-preserved wooden house city. In the old part, you will find a well-preserved wooden house settlement with 173 houses. Overnight accommodation at Rica Park Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 5: In Stavanger. Today enjoy a guided fjord sightseeing on the Lysefjord where you can also experience the famous rock formation Pulpit Rock. Overnight accommodation at Rica Park Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Stavanger – Bergen. A beautiful journey awaits you today. Travel by express boat from Stavanger to Bergen and experience some of Norway’s most beautiful coastal scenery. You will be sailing over fjords and open stretches of sea, past countless islands and through narrow sounds. Arrival in the afternoon in Bergen. Overnight accommodation at Clarion Hotel Admiral or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 7: In Bergen. After breakfast, take a 3-hour guided tour of Bergen. Your tour starts with a visit to Fantoft Stave Church, originally built 1150 and reconstructed after a fire in 1992. Afterwards continue to Troldhaugen, Edvard Grieg’s home of 22 years.
On the way to the city center, at one of Bergen’s best panoramic viewpoints – on the top of Nattlandsfjellet. The tour ends in the city center of Bergen at the Tourist Information and Floibanen. Overnight accommodation at Clarion Hotel Admiral or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 8: In Bergen – Full day at leisure. A full day to relax in this beautiful city. Overnight accommodation at Clarion Hotel Admiral or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 9: Bergen – Flam. Morning departure from Bergen. Take the express boat north through the narrow sounds and beautiful skerries up to Sognefjord, the world’s longest fjord, and continuing up the dramatic Aurlandsfjord to Flam. A short walk from the pier will take you to your hotel. Check-in upon arrival.
At 3pm, board a RIB (rigid inflated boat) boat and enjoy a 1,5 hours fjord safari. Head out through the Aurlandsfjord and onwards to Beitelen, a characteristic mountain, which is located where the fjord divides into different branches, and from where you can enjoy a beautiful view towards the dramatic Nærøyfjord. You will make frequent stops to spot for wildlife and your guide will tell you about the fascinating natural- and cultural history of the area. Overnight at Fretheim Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 10: Flam – Oslo. Morning at leisure. After check-out, walk to the train station where you will board the Flam Railway, the steepest and most spectacular railroad in Europe. At Myrdal, you will change train and continue your journey back to Oslo. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival. Overnight accommodation at Rica Oslo or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 11: Departure Oslo. Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight back home. Your tour ends upon arrival at the airport.
