Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Bergen, Norway. Transfer upon arrival from the airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Rica Strand Hotel or similar.
Day 2: In Bergen. After breakfast at 11a.m., join a 3-hour regular sightseeing tour of Bergen. The tour starts with a visit to Fantoft Stave Church, which was originally built 1150, but reconstructed after a fire in 1992. Afterwards the tour continues to Troldhaugen, Edvard Grieg’s home for 22 years.
On the way back to the city center we stop on top of Nattlandsfjellet, one of Bergen’s best panoramic viewpoints. The tour ends in the center of Bergen at Tourist information and Flojbanen. The afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Rica Strand Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Bergen – On-board Coastal Steamer to Aalesund. Full day at leisure in Bergen. In the evening, board the Coastal Steamer and travel northbound. Overnight on board the Coastal Steamer in 2-berth inside cabin. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 4: In Aalesund. Breakfast on board before disembarking in Aalesund in the morning. Check-in at your hotel (Please note that your hotel room may not be available at this time.). At 12noon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Aalesund by boat. The tour will take you through the harbor and out amongst the many islands.
Stops will include the Devold factory outlet and museum and the Sunmore Museum – an open-air museum focusing on the Norwegian coastal culture. You are welcome to leave the boat at both locations and board the next boat onwards if you want. The rest of the day is at leisure after the tour. Overnight at Rica Parken Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 5: In Aalesund. Full-day Fjord Experience. Depart Aalesund on board the Norwegian Coastal Steamer at 9.30am and sail into Geiranger Fjord to Geiranger. After some free time in Geiranger, continue your journey by bus on board the ferry that sails from Geiranger to Hellesylt.
And further through the wild and beautiful Norangsdal to Leknes. At Leknes the ferry awaits to take you on the dramatic Hjorundfjord to Solavagen where the bus continues to Moa traffic terminal(for correspondence with bus to Molde). Your journey ends in Aalesund. Overnight at Rica Parken Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Aalesund – On-board Coastal Steamer to Trondheim. Full day at leisure in Aalesund. Board the Coastal Steamer in the evening and sail to the historic town of Trondheim. Overnight on board the Coastal Steamer in 2-berth inside cabin. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 7: In Trondheim. Morning arrival in Trondheim. After disembarkation, check-in at your hotel. Join a regular sightseeing tour of Trondheim by bus at 11a.m. You will visit the Haltdalen Stave church at the Trondelag Folk Museum, pass the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Kristiansten Fort, the Royal Residence and the Cathedral.
A brief stop at the viewpoints for photos. (Please note that after the tour, you have an option to continue with the bus to Ringve Museum however, entrance and return to Trondheim center is not included and will be on your own). The day is a leisure to explore Norway’s historical capital. Overnight at Rica Nidelven Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 8: Trondheim – Oslo. A beautiful train journey awaits you today. You will follow the Gaula, a river teeming with salmon, then a sharp incline as the train passes the mountain slopes of Oppdal through Drivdalen. The train passes over Dovrefjell and down to Gudbrandsdalen, pass the Olympic village of Lillehammer to the Norwegian capital of Oslo. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival in Oslo. Overnight at Rica Oslo Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 9: In Oslo. At 10a.m. join a 4-hour regular sightseeing tour of Oslo by bus and boat visiting the fjord, the Vigeland sculpture park, the Holmenkollen ski jump with ski museum, the Viking ships and the Kon-Tiki Raft. The rest of the day is at leisure after the tour. Overnight at Rica Oslo Hotel or similar. Includes: (B).
Day 10: Depart Oslo. Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight back home. End of tour services upon arrival at the airport.
