Amboro National Park covers 443 square kilometers and is a reserve for flora and fauna of the area. This is an ecological reserve and boasts 3000 species of plants and more than 800 species of birds. Transportation from Santa Cruz to Samaipata: Two and a half hours by car or bus on a paved road bordering the Pirai River.

Samaipata. Full Day: Visit to The Fort, the last fortress of the Incas, a dominant ceremonial symbol and incredible stone sculpture carved out of one solid block of stone. It is covered with zoomorphic figures, water canals, and niches On the return to Santa Cruz, you will enjoy the waterfalls at the Caves.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Hike around the high lands of the cloud forest to see trees hanging with bromeliads, orchids and giant ferns. Camp inside the park.

Day 2: Descend to a sub-tropical forest with an immense richness in flora and fauna.

Day 3: Morning hike to enjoy the variety of bird songs and incredible vistas of the forest. Return to Samaipata in the afternoon.

Condor Canyon: Spectacular one day hike, 6 hours, where you will have close encounters with families of Condors in their own habitat.

Santa Cruz Cruz is a tropical paradise with a hot climate and lush vegetation. It is also a modern bustling city, known as the soy bean and petroleum capital of Bolivia. Some of the principal attractions of the Santa Cruz area are Carnival, the Expofair in September and the Jesuit Missions. The famous Jesuit Missions date from from colonial times around the 18th century. They are located about 200 kilometers from Santa Cruz. UNESCO had declared the missions Human Cultural Heritage sites, for their unique splendor.

City Tour. Tour of the principal streets of Santa Cruz and visit the artisan shops, the zoo with its South American fauna, the Cathedral, the ethnic-folkloric museums, and the Natural History Museum.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Visit to the churches of San Javier and Concepcion, the architectural jewels of the Chiquitania. Overnight stay at the Grand Hotel Concepcion.

Day 2: In the morning visit the Mission and Chiquitania Museum. In the afternoon return to Santa Cruz to visit the Sapoco Lagoon.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: The same as the San Javier - Concepcion program.
Day 2: Drive to San Ignacio enjoying the wildlife on the way.
Day 3: Visit the Missions of Santa Ana, San Rafael and San Miguel.
Day 4: Return to Santa Cruz with a visit to the private ecological reserve La Dolorida.
