The most prominent ethnic group of this area is Gurung. The Gurungs are the most widely distributed being found from the hills of Gorkha till Palpa. Gurungs are famed for their cultural performance, which are easily seen while trekking in the region. Many villagers along the trails will arrange performance for trekkers during the main season.
The Gurungs of this area are also famous for their service in both Britishis and Indian Gorkha soldier. Most of the man from this area serve in both the British and Indian armies. The area benefits from farming, trading and also generations of pay from British and India for their important service in Gurkha army.

Day 7: Tadapani Trek to Chhomrung
Day 8: Chhomrung Trek to Himalaya Hotel
Day 9: Trek to Annapurna South Base Camp Visit
Day 10: Trek to Annapurna South Glacier Basin (3,858m)
Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp Trek to Daovan
Day 12: Daovan Trek to Modi Khola
Day 13: Modi Khola Trek to Dampus
Day 14: Dhampus Trek Drive Back to Pokhara
