The most prominent ethnic group of this area is Gurung. The Gurungs are the most widely distributed being found from the hills of Gorkha till Palpa. Gurungs are famed for their cultural performance, which are easily seen while trekking in the region. Many villagers along the trails will arrange performance for trekkers during the main season.

The Gurungs of this area are also famous for their service in both British is and Indian Gorkha soldier. Most of the man from this area serve in both the British and Indian armies. The area benefits from farming, trading and also generations of pay from British and India for their important service in Gurkha army.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel by our representative.

Day 2: Kathmandu city tour.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Pokahara by tourist bus or by private coach (5-6 hours).

Day 4 : Pokhara - Lumle - Tinkhe Dhunga (1491 m) (drive 2 hours and trek 5 hours).

Day 5: Tikhe Dhunga trek to Gorepani (2774 m).

Day 6: Ghorepani trek to Tadapani.

Day 7: Tadapani trek to Chhomrung.

Day 8: Chhomrung trek to Himalaya hotel.

Day 9: Trek to Annapurna South base camp visit.

Day 10: Trek to Annapurna South Glacier Basin (3,858 m).

Day 11: Annapurna base camp trek to Daovan.

Day 12: Daovan trek to Modi Khola.

Day 13: Modi Khola trek to Dampus.

Day 14: Dhampus trek drive back to Pokhara.

Day 15: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 16: Kathmandu airport transfer for your own destination.
