This is a short trek from around Pokhara. In this trek one can have the amazing panorama of mountain, including Annapruna South (7,219 m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Machhapuchhre (Mount Fishtail - 6,997 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m) and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m) and in the distance Manaslu (8,163 m), Ngadi Chuli (Peak 29) and Himalchuli (7,892 m). The inhabitants of this area are mainly Brahmins and Chhetri, though you reach Siklis - the largest Gurung village in Nepal with 700 houses, a chance to see traditional Nepalese hill life. In the springtime, you can see white orchids and other flora in the forest. This is one of the areas where only a few tourists can be see.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Katmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 2: Sightseeing in Katmandu Valley
Day 3: Drive/fly to Pokhara
Day 4: Afternoon, drive from Pokhara to Hyangja and commence trek along a flat trail past the Tibetan Refugee Camp to a campsite along the bank of Madi Khola, 3 hours walk
Day 05: Trek to Kharepani (1,727m) - 5 hours walk
Day 06: Trek to Ghalekharka (2,090m) - 5 hours walk
Day 07: Trek to Forest Camp (2,696m) - 6 hours walk
Day 08: Trek to Siklis (2,121m) - 6 hours walk
Day 09: Trek to Lama Khet (1,800m) - 5 hours walk
Day 10: Trek to Thulokote (1,400m) - 5 hours walk
Day 11: Trek to Begnas (890m) - 4 hours walk. Cross the Begnas Lake by boats and drive to Pokhara
Day 12 : Drive/fly back to Kathmandu
Day 13 : Free day/sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Day 14 : Departure to your next destination.
