This is a short trek from around Pokhara. In this trek one can have the amazing panorama of mountain, including Annapruna South (7,219 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre (Mount Fishtail - 6,997 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m) and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m) and in the distance Manaslu (8,163 m), Ngadi Chuli (Peak 29) and Himalchuli (7,892 m).
The inhabitants of this area are mainly Brahmins and Chhetri, though you reach Siklis - the largest Gurung village in Nepal with 700 houses, a chance to see traditional Nepalese hill life. In the springtime, you can see white orchids and other flora in the forest. This is one of the areas where only a few tourists can be see. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival Katmandu and transfer to hotel. Day 2: Sightseeing in Katmandu Valley. Day 3: Drive/fly to Pokhara. Day 4: Afternoon, drive from Pokhara to Hyangja and commence trek along a flat trail past the Tibetan Refugee Camp to a campsite along the bank of Madi Khola, 3 hours walk. Day 5: Trek to Kharepani (1,727 m) - 5 hours walk. Day 6: Trek to Ghalekharka (2,090 m) - 5 hours walk. Day 7: Trek to Forest Camp (2,696 m) - 6 hours walk. Day 8: Trek to Siklis (2,121 m) - 6 hours walk. Day 9: Trek to Lama Khet (1,800 m) - 5 hours walk. Day 10: Trek to Thulokote (1,400 m) - 5 hours walk. Day 11: Trek to Begnas (890 m) - 4 hours walk. Cross the Begnas Lake by boats and drive to Pokhara. Day 12: Drive/fly back to Kathmandu. Day 13: Free day/sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. Day 14: Departure to your next destination.
