From Porto we go to the North, up the coast, in direction to Viana do Castelo, known as the princess of the River Lima due to its rare beauty. In Minho, the greenest region of Portugal, we can appreciate its historical and architectonic heritage, share its ruralism, its rich handicraft, and the most colorful popular culture. Unique, Vinho Verde is a mixture of flavours with a slight bite that makes it one of the tastiest drinks.
We visit the cities of Braga, the country’s ecclesiastic capital and Guimarães, the cradle of the nation, before leaving to Douro World Heritage. This is port country and was, in fact, the world´s first demarcated wine region being established in 1756. For the last day (optional), we suggest a getting back to Porto to finish our journey at the famous Port Wine cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Viana do Castelo – Ponte de Lima.
