The Peneda-Gerês National Park is Portugal’s only protected area with this status. It was established in 1971, covering 72000 ha next to the Spanish border. This park is a natural jewel of outstanding beauty and this journey takes us to discover its magnificent landscapes, majestic mountains, peaceful forests, fresh rivers and little rural villages. There are thousands of breathtaking views out over the hills. Take a picture of its dream scenery and millinery heritage, breathe the pure air, drink the water, taste the aromas and walk on mountain paths to discover untouchable places. Discovering the fauna and flora - Walking along Mata de Albergaria. Day 2: Serra da Peneda - Castro Laboreiro: - Soajo e Lindoso granaries - Walking along Mata do Mezio - Lunch at traditional Restaurant - Nossa Senhora da Peneda sanctuary - Walking to Castro Laboreiro’s castle.
