Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Passau
Embark on your ship at 3 p.m. The ship leaves Passau at 6 p.m. Head towards Vienna through a lovely stretch of the Danube called “Schlögener Schlinge.” After these scenic first impressions, enjoy a complimentary cocktail prior to the welcome dinner.

Day 2: Vienna
Reach Vienna around 10 a.m. Enjoy this fabulous charming old world city for most of the day. You will see all of the important sights during the Vienna Sightseeing Tour. The ship departs from the port at 6 p.m., heading towards Budapest.

Day 3: Budapest
Arrive in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, by 11 a.m. Admire the views this city has to offer, with spectacular architecture on both sides of its river banks. The guided tour of Budapest will be this afternoon. After dinner, enjoy an unforgettable evening cruise on the river, with glorious views of the city’s floodlit buildings. Entertainment this evening will be the lively music of a Gypsy band, and a performance by a Hungarian folklore group onboard. Set sail at 11 p.m.

Day 4: Kalocsa
In the morning, the ship berths at Kalocsa, a charming town in the Hungarian lowlands known for its handicrafts including pottery, embroidery, and for Hungary’s national product, Paprika. Join the Kalocsa – Puszta Tour1 excursion, which includes a unique performance of Hungarian horsemen and a visit to the only Paprika museum in the world. The ship departs at 2 p.m. and heads back to Budapest. After dinner, be carried away by Operetta music inspired by the Danube and played by excellent Hungarian musicians.

Day 5: Budapest - Esztergom
At 7 a.m., the ship returns to Budapest, the “Queen of the Danube.” Enjoy the morning at your leisure. Stroll through shopping malls, or visit the Museum of Fine Arts. Following lunch onboard, the optional Szentendre-Esztergom1 excursion leaves by bus to Esztergom. Remaining passengers can relax on the sun deck, as the ship sails through the scenic “Danube Bend”—one of the most idyllic stretches of the entire Danube. Arrive in Esztergom at 7 p.m., with a fine view of the massive cathedral towering above the Danube. Those passengers who have been on the Szentendre-Esztergom excursion will be taken back to the ship before dinner. Set sail at 8 p.m. for Slovakia.

Day 6: Bratislava - Vienna
This morning you arrive in the Republic of Slovakia at 7:30 a.m. A guided tour of Bratislava will follow. Relax and enjoy the views of the Danube this afternoon, as we sail towards Vienna, arriving around 7 p.m. After dinner, two optional tours will be available; “Evening Excursion Vienna”1 to visit the Prater and a typical Heurigen wine tavern, or, ”Sound of Vienna”1, to hear some beautiful music. The ship departs the city at 11 p.m.

Day 7: Emmersdorf
In the morning, tie up at the idyllic wine-growing town of Emmersdorf. Take part in the “Beauties of the Wachau” excursion. At 2 p.m., the boat continues through the scenic and mythical Wachau, famous for its impressive baroque building, the Benedictine Abbey of Melk. The captain invites you to a gala dinner, and to dance the night away in the Panorama Bar to the excellent live music that has been entertaining you throughout the cruise.

Day 8: Passau
Arrive in the city of Passau around 8:00 a.m., and disembark by 9 a.m. Your cruise ends here.
