The skyline is jagged skyline of magnificent Himalayan peaks. Behind just to show who is master, the 7,800m Lotse-Nuptse wall rears above like a wave about to break. The great Himalayan Explorer Shipton named Island peak saying that it raises out of a sea of ice, Imja Tse is the Nepali translation.

If you are acclimatize why waste? Island Peak beckons. We only need camp for three nights way from lodges so we take some alpine tents and lightweight stoves. Porters carry your lightweight equipment so that you can trek light, with only your personal gear.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Alt. 1,350m / 4,428 ft
