Our Guided walks are very much for those that want a comfortable holiday but at the same time being out in the open, walking, seeing and getting the feel for the Irish countryside. Our guides are selected because of their knowledge of the area which you will be walking. They will explain the ecology of the area, its history, art, architecture, customs, folklore and its natural history.Good accommodation, (private bathroom each location) and quality meals make for a holiday to be remembered. These holidays are Sat./Sat for the Guided Comfort/Special Interest Walks.
* Itinerary for Guided Beara Peninsula
- Day 1 Arrival in Glengarriff, where we stay two nights-a glorious little town made famous by Garnish Island.
- Days 2, 3 & 4 Walking through the Caha mountains we enjoy glorious views over Bantry Bay and then spend another two days along the coast of this wonderful area. Two nights are spent in Castletown bere.
- Days 5 & 6 Our next two nights are spent in Allihies as we move
further west along the peninsula visiting the famous Dursey Island
and exploring the mountains near Allihies-rich in copper mining
history.
- Day 7 We transfer to Killarney for our final night enjoying a wonderful inland walk with great views across the impressive Kenmare Bay on the way.

* Itinerary for Self -Guided Beara Peninsula
- 2-Stay Programme You will spend the first 3 nights in Kenmare from where you will enjoy walks around the Caha Mountains, Lough Inchiquin Nature Reserve, Peakeen Mountain and the famous Lakes of Killarney. The following 4 nights are spent in Castletownbere from where you will enjoy walks around Adrigole, Knockgour, Allihies, Bere Island and either Maulin Hill or Hungry Hill.
- 8-Day Programme:
Day 1 - Arrive at Glengarriff and collect "Walk Information pack" from first house accommodation.
Days 2,3 & 4 - Walk from Glengarriff to Castletownbere along the magnificent southern shores of this peninsula with glorious views over magnificent Bantry Bay.
Days 5, 6 & 7 - Cross from the south of the peninsula to the north side - with wonderful views across Kenmare Bay to Kerry with Ireland's highest mountains dominating the skyline ahead. Finish in the heritage town of Kenmare for the final night. 6 full days walking - Total - 120km.
- 11- Day Programme Continuing west from Castletownbere you have the opportunity to explore this wonderful region - all the way to Dursey Island right at the most westerly tip of the peninsula. Returning east to Allihies - a wonderful village with a unique atmosphere - you then continue east to Eyeries and back to Kenmare.
