Your Itinerary: Day 1: Arrive at Enniskerry, a picturesque village in North County Wicklow, where you will spend the first two nights. Day 2: Begin your first walk at Marlay Park in South County Dublin to the start of the Wicklow Way. Cross the Dublin Mountains into Wicklow, enjoying sea and mountain views. Day 3: Continue on the Wicklow Way around the shoulder of Djouce Mountain and over White Hill to finish in the lovely village of Roundwood. As you descend you have glorious views of the spectacular glacial lakes of Lough Tay and Lough Dan. Overnight in Roundwood. Days 4-5: Walk around the perimeter of the Barton Estate before taking a detour from the Wicklow Way to the top of Scarr Mountain. From here you descend by an old Mass Path to your overnight accommodation in Laragh. The following day gives an opportunity to explore the environs of Glendalough in greater detail. Visit the monastic city and the interpretative center or to do one of the walks in Glenmacnas, Glendasan or to the lead mines in Glendalough. Days 6-7: Cross over into the valley of Glenmalure, following an old "green road" beside Poulanass Waterfall and up the steep steps to the Spink, from where you will gain a bird's eye view of Glendalough and the Upper Lake. Descending into Glenmalure, you finish your walk at Drumgoff. Overnight in Rathdrum. The following day you cross the mountains back to Laragh by a different route, climbing to the summits of Mullacor and Derrybawn Mountain, before descending to Glendalough. Overnight at Laragh.
