Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Souillac
Located on the Dordogne river, Souillac is often considered the gateway to "Perigord Noir." It is the perfect starting point for a short escape in this magnificent region. It is also conveniently located whether you arrive by train or by car. There you will be welcomed by our local expert who will brief you on the itinerary and hand you all the necessary materials. Dinner and overnight in Souillac.
Day 2: Souillac - Sarlat (35 km or 22 miles)
The Dordogne river will show you the way! This very relaxing ride will take you by the castles of Fenelon and Montfort before reaching Sarlat, capital city of the Perigord Noir and Europe's biggest medieval center. Dinner and overnight in Sarlat.
Day 3: Sarlat Loop (various options)
Choose the ride to your liking. Many options will be offered. All will take you to some of Dordogne's most remarkable jewels: Domme, la Roque Gageac, and Beynac, three of "France's Prettiest Villages" and Castelnaud and Beynac, two of Perigord's best preserved medieval castles. Dinner and overnight in Sarlat.
Day 4: Departure from Sarlat
After breakfast, we'll transfer you to Souillac.
