Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Souillac
Located on the Dordogne river, Souillac is often considered the gateway to "Perigord Noir." It is the perfect starting point for a short escape in this magnificent region. It is also conveniently located whether you arrive by train (train service from Paris or from Toulouse) or by car (on the A20/E9 highway). There you will be welcomed by our local expert who will brief you on the itinerary and hand you all the necessary materials. Dinner and overnight in Souillac.
Note: Market day takes place on Friday in Souillac

Day 2: Souillac - Sarlat (35 km or 22 miles)
You’ll probably want to take a stroll and explore Souillac before getting on your bike! We’ve kept today’s mileage to a low 35 km (22 miles) to allow you to do just that! From Souillac, the River Dordogne will show you the way! This very relaxing ride will take you by the castles of Fenelon and Montfort before reaching Sarlat, capital city of the Perigord Noir and Europe’s largest preserved medieval center (Cyrano de Bergerac and Manon des Sources took advantage of Sarlat’s medieval authenticity by filming there). Please note that if you wish to cover more ground, our representative will gladly provide you with longer options.
Note: Market day takes place on Saturday in Sarlat

Day 3: Sarlat Loop (various options)
Regardless of the loop you’ll choose, you can assured that you will follow quiet roads through some of Dordogne’s most beautiful sites. All our loops go through the remarkable villages of Domme, Beynac and La Roque-Gageac, three villages deemed so beautiful that they’ve been awarded the coveted title of “Un des Plus Beaux Villages de France (“One of France’s Prettiest Villages”). Dinner and overnight in Sarlat

Day 4: Departure from Sarlat
After breakfast, we'll transfer you to the Souillac train station (or to your first hotel where you left your car)
