Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdares Fishing Lodge Campsite. Leave Nairobi in the morning by public transport to Nyeri town where you meet a jeep and drive to Kiadongoro gate and walk to Fishing Lodge for overnight in the campsite. Afternoon accompanied by an armed ranger, visit the Karuru and Magura Waterfalls (4 hours walking round trip to the waterfalls). Day 2: Aberdares Fishing Lodge Campsite-Honi River Campsite. After breakfast, trek through the moorland viewing high altitude vegetations where also some animals like Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Antelopes and bird species can be encountered to Honi River Campsite for dinner and overnight (6-7 hours). Day 3: Honi River Campsite-Wanderis Roadhead Campsite. After breakfast, hike through the Hagenia Forest to Wanderis roadhead campsite for dinner and overnight (5-6 hours). Day 4: Wanderis Roadhead Campsite-Summit-Wanderis Roadhead Campsite. Hike to the top of Satima Peak which is the highest point in the Aberdares overlooking the Great Rift Valley to the West and Kikuyu Valley as far as the summit of Mount Kenya to the East and later descend to the Campsite for an overnight (5 hours). Day 5: Wanderis Roadhead Campsite-Nairobi. After breakfast walk down to meet the vehicle off the mountain via Wanderis gate and then proceed back to Nairobi. Member discount: Notes:
