Uganda sits at the very heart of Africa, and like a strong and healthy heart, it throbs with life. Like the heart it pumps the lifeblood through the system, Uganda sends forth the Nile, the world’s longest river, from its source in our land.
It bursts with earthshaking life force through Murchison Falls and off on its immense journey, nourishing millions as it goes, before flowing out into the Mediterranean. This exuberant life force is inescapably present everywhere in Uganda. Perched on a breeze-brushed equatorial plateau, the country pulses with nature’s joyous self-celebration.
The abundant forests, lakes, rivers, and Savannah mountains-even the towns and cities-are bursting with life of every kind. Here there are over 1000 bird species, the greatest variety of primates in the world, big game, vast river fish, bright torrents of butterflies, and an endless spectrum of life’s infinite variety.
