The mid way camp is located on a high moraine bank overlooking the glacier. (8-9hrs each day). We have 4 days to climb the peak. The HAP (high altitude porter) will stock a camp at the start of the technical difficulties. Members will then break trail and fix ropes on the 1,000m ridge leading to the summit. The exact style used during the summit attempt will be dictated by prevailing snow and weather conditions. It is possible that the summit climb may require 3 days from the high camp at 5,400m. Ropes would be fixed on the first day enabling a camp to be established at 6,000m. The following day the summit could be reached with the members descending to the 6,000m camp.
